  • Scaffolding Ethics: Accountability Structures to Support Construction Industry Transformation
    B. Seethalakshmi, K. Santhanalakshmi
Exploring Human Resource Innovations in E Economy, 2026
The construction industry is undergoing unprecedented transformation driven by technology, market, and workforce shifts. Such changes' implications on industry dynamics, productivity, and employment trends are addressed in this review, with drivers emphasized while also addressing challenges posed by new technologies, automation, and labour market re-alignment. Our approach combines literature review evidence (2018-2024), fifteen leading-edge construction company case studies, and quantitative analysis of global market trends. We concentrate on three areas: digital technology integration (BIM, IoT, predictive analytics), automation trends (robotics, prefabrication), and workforce development programs to meet changing skill needs. There is evidence that technology-savvy companies attain 15-23% greater productivity compared to their conventional peers.

This introductory exploration seeks to unravel the context and challenges associated with transnational staff development, offering insights into how organizations can effectively manage and leverage their international human resources. The context of transnational staff development is deeply rooted in globalization, which has significantly altered the business environment.
  • DECONSTRUCTING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION: A MULTIDIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS OF DIGITAL LITERACY’S ROLE IN SHAPING HUMAN CAPITAL AND DRIVING ORGANIZATIONAL SUCCESS
    G Meena, K. Santhanalakshmi
Economics Innovative and Economics Research Journal, 2025
This study presents a comprehensive investigation into the multifaceted relationship between digital literacy, human capital development, and organizational performance in the context of digital transformation. Through a rigorous mixed-methodology approach combining quantitative surveys and real-time digital usage tracking, we analyzed data from 250 employees across 23 organizations spanning multiple sectors (technology 26.5%, finance 16.7%, healthcare 13.6%). The research employs structural equation modeling and demonstrates robust interrelationships between variables (correlations ranging r=0.689 to 0.817), with digital literacy and employee commitment exhibiting the strongest correlation (r=0.817). Statistical analysis reveals that human capital significantly mediates the relationship between employee factors and organizational performance, explaining 72.3% of performance variance (R²=0.723). All constructs demonstrated strong reliability (Cronbach’s α: 0.739-0.787) and convergent validity (AVE>0.5). Multiple regression analysis identified attitude (β=0.218) and human capital (β=0.184) as primary performance predictors, while frugal innovation showed significant influence (β=0.172, p<0.001). The study found that 69.1% of participants utilize digital tools multiple times daily, with 44.4% at intermediate digital literacy levels. Path analysis confirmed significant positive relationships (p<0.001) across all variables, with attitude demonstrating the highest direct effect on organizational performance (0.525). The research extends human capital theory by empirically validating digital competencies’ role in organizational success and identifies a critical digital literacy divide impacting performance outcomes. In work environments (48.1% hybrid, 42% on-site, 9.9% remote), findings demonstrate the universal importance of digital competencies across different operational models. These results have substantial implications for management practices, organizational strategy, and human resource development in the digital era, particularly in fostering comprehensive digital skill development programs and addressing organizational digital divides.
  • Business intelligence in HR as a lever for digital transformation in the food industry
    G. Meena, K. Santhanalakshmi
Finance Analytics in Business Perspectives on Enhancing Efficiency and Accuracy, 2024
Abstract Purpose In particular, it is worth mentoring new and more efficient solutions that can meet the increasingly specific needs of each company, especially in food management. A business intelligence (BI) solution can help your food company better understand and manage business processes more effectively. Management information is essential for all levels of an organisation to make quick and correct decisions. However, what exactly is BI, and what can it mean for a food company? Design/Methodology/Approach The PRISMA stands for (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) and content analysis strategy used the SLR (systematic literature review) methodology to examine 151 papers published in peer-reviewed academic journals and industry reports between 2016 and 2023. Findings The findings show that artificial intelligence and digitalisation are linked to the UN 2030 Agenda. BI management ranks first (66%), followed by crop and land mapping systems (40%), agricultural machinery monitoring tools (39%) and decision support systems (31%). The road to digital transformation remains extended, with the main impediments being more compatibility between enterprise systems and a shortage of expertise. Limitations/Impacts of the Research The section relating to methodological perspective adopts the PRISMA methodology for systematic review. Interoperability is easily managed by assigning qualified teams to projects. The added value of a consulting firm with extensive project management experience in the food industry is closely related to the results achieved. Originality/Value BI: What exactly is it, and why a data-driven culture is essential in the food and beverage industry?
  • ‘EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING’ A CORPORATE CHANGE: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES ON GAPS IN SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Ananth Selvakumar, G. Kumar, K. Santhanalakshmi
Contemporary Studies in Economic and Financial Analysis, 2024
Purpose: Nikoletta Taylor and Close, (2022) asserts that a skill gap analysis can be used to determine the lacking skill and carry out recruitment based on that gap. It goes without saying that for a student, that would be their first employment, and with internships, there is no way to experience all aspects of the working world.Need for This Study: When it comes to the recruiter’s expectations and the applicant’s skills, specifically among students, a gap still exists, leading to a need for practical exposure for applicants.Study Design/Methodology/Approach: A quantitative study was adopted. A questionnaire was prepared with constructs and variables from the review and a total of 403 responses was collected from reputed institutions in Tamil Nadu.Findings: This study reveals that skill development is needed; it is found that experiential learning through the gamification process is a suitable learning strategy. The experiential learning factors supporting skill development are self-efficacy, outcome expectation, interest, choice actions, and performance, followed by review, feedback, and continuous improvement.Originality/Value: Learning all these factors through the gamification process would give students practical exposure to real-time scenarios of the corporate world. The proposed model gives students experience through gamification and learning activities.
