Synthesis, Antimicrobial Evaluation, and In Silico Molecular Docking Studies of Chalcone-Based 1,2,3-Triazoles Ch. Prasad, P. Nagesh, Ch. Kishan, V. Murali Krishna, A. Balaswamy, V. Manga, B. Prashanth, Y. Aparna Russian Journal of General Chemistry, 2023 Abstract A series of chalcone-based 1,2,3-triazole compounds was synthesized Condensation of aldehydes and ketones results in the formation of chalcones. Terminal alkyne of chalcones and different aryl azides cyclization produced chalcone-based 1,2,3-triazoles through 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition (click reaction). The compounds were screened to evaluate their in vitro antimicrobial activities against Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli bacteria and Aspergillus niger fungal strains. The analogues of 2-methyl, 4-chloro, 3-trifluormethyl, ester and 3,5-dichloro substitutions showed excellent zone of inhibition compared to ampicillin and bavistin drugs. Molecular docking studies showed good binding interactions with selected proteins glucosamine-6-phosphate and 3-phytase A of E. coli and A. niger, respectively.

Sharada Rasayan Journal of Chemistry, 2021 Imidazole rings are privileged moieties in heterocyclic chemistry since they permit functional group and structural modifications to synthesize abundant substituted heterocycles. Thus, the pursuit of exploring many more alterations on imidazole moiety needs to be continued. In the present work an array of the new imidazolone derivatives was prepared as per the expedient method. The moieties were characterized by FTIR,1HNMR, 13CNMR and Mass spectra. Docking was studied to exemplify the binding connections of intended scaffolds with the crystal structure of proteinreductase of Staphylococcusaureus pdbid:4NZ9.The synthesized compounds were tested for antibacterial activity by the agar diffusion method. All the compounds showed potent activity against diverse bacterial species.

Sharada, Sivan Sreekanth Russian Journal of General Chemistry, 2020 Novel bis-1,2,3-triazol-1H-4-yl-substituted aryl benzimidazole-2-thiol derivatives have been synthesized from 5-methoxy and 5-difluoromethoxy bis-propargyl substituted benzimidazole-2-thiols using the “click chemistry,” tested for their antimicrobial activity and subjected to molecular docking studies. Structures of the compounds have been elucidated from IR, NMR, and mass spectra.
Synthesis, Characterization, Molecular Docking, and Antimicrobial Activity of New Arylidene-Substituted Imidazoles Y. Aparna, L. N. Sharada, N. J. P. Subhashini, Sivan Sreekanth Russian Journal of General Chemistry, 2019 The title compounds are synthesized by condensation of 2-[4-(arylidene)-5-oxo-4, 5-dihydrooxazol-2-yl]phenylacetate with aromatic amines in presence of the Vilsemeier Haack reagent. Structures of all compounds are elucidated from 1H and 13C NMR, IR, and mass spectra. The compounds are tested for their antibacterial activity. Molecular docking study is focused on the relative orientation and nature of bonding between imidazoles and bacterial protein.
