Enhancing software fault prediction through data balancing techniques and machine learning Akshat Raj, Durva Mahadeo Chavan, Priyal Agarwal, Jestin Gigi, Madhuri Rao, Vinayak Musale, Akshita Chanchlani, Murtaza Shabbirbhai Dholkawala, Kulamala Vinod Kumar Iaes International Journal of Artificial Intelligence, 2025 Software fault prediction is essential for ensuring the reliability and quality of software systems by identifying potential defects early in the development lifecycle. However, the presence of imbalanced datasets poses a significant challenge to the effectiveness of fault prediction models. In this paper, we investigate the impact of different data balancing techniques, including generative adversarial networks (GANs), synthetic minority over-sampling technique (SMOTE), and NearMiss, on machine learning (ML) model performance for software fault prediction. Through a comparative analysis across multiple datasets commonly used in software engineering research, we evaluate the efficacy of these techniques in addressing class imbalance and improving predictive accuracy. Our findings provide insights into the most effective approaches for handling imbalanced data in software fault prediction tasks, thereby advancing the state-of-the-art in software engineering research and practice. An extensive experimentation is performed and analyzed in this study here that includes 8 datasets, 4 data balancing techniques, and 4 ML techniques in order to demonstrate the efficacy of various models in software fault prediction.

Smart Irrigation Control System in Precision Agriculture With Jubatus Climber Algorithm Optimized Distributed BiLSTM Amruta Chandrakant Amune, Himangi Pande, Vinayak Prabhakar Musale Irrigation and Drainage, 2025 Agricultural productivity is crucial for population growth, but 83% of India's water usage is due to unplanned consumption. To address this, smart agriculture, which uses Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for efficient water management, is essential. Smart irrigation control is crucial for addressing water waste and promoting agricultural growth. To make agriculture smart, automation and IoT technologies emerged with the deep learning algorithms used in the research. Despite advancements, existing research models have drawbacks, including limited accuracy in predicting moisture content and inefficient resource utilization. To address the drawbacks of the existing techniques, a novel approach named distributed bidirectional long short‐term memory optimized with the Jubatus classifier algorithm (JCA‐DiBiLSTM) for automatic irrigation control is proposed. The proposed method integrates BiLSTM networks with a distributed computing architecture, enhancing predictive accuracy by capturing complex temporal dependencies in moisture content data. Additionally, the Jubatus classifier algorithm (JCA) optimizes the model parameters, improving the overall prediction performance. By leveraging JCA‐DiBiLSTM, significant advantages are observed in predicting the moisture content of agricultural land. The model demonstrates enhanced accuracy, outperforming traditional methods and mitigating over‐ or under‐irrigation risks. Furthermore, JCA‐DiBiLSTM ensures an accuracy and specificity of 94% and minimizes the mean square error (MSE) to 5.5 while maximizing the sensitivity to 94%.
EXPLORING THE INFLUENCE OF ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE DIMENSIONS ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IN IT ORGANISATIONS MANO ASHISH TRIPATHI, VIJAY SHELAKE, REENA LENKA, VINAYAK MUSALE International Journal of Innovation Management, 2025 This study examines the diverse dimensions of Organisational Culture and their influence on employee performance. Conducting an extensive literature review on cultural dimensions, we designed a structured questionnaire encompassing aspects of both Organisational Culture and Employee Performance. This questionnaire was distributed among a targeted sample, selected using a simple random sampling method. Out of the 424 questionnaires distributed to employees across various IT organisations, 404 valid responses were obtained after removing invalid ones. The analysis revealed a significant correlation between the study dimensions and employee performance. Our outcomes suggest a need for organisations to prioritise fostering Risk-Taking behaviour and maintaining a flexible Organisational Structure, integrating these dimensions into their culture to enhance employee performance, consequently contributing to overall organisational success.
Mathematical modeling of drug delivery systems with diffusion and absorption equations Vipan Kumar, Uma Bhardwaj, Yamini Sood, Vijaykumar Bhanuse, Vinayak Musale, M. Ramesh Kumar Journal of Interdisciplinary Mathematics, 2025 Mathematical modelling plays a fundamental role in designing drug delivery systems, where the goal is to release an active molecule at a controlled rate and in a specific target region. Diffusion and absorption processes govern how drugs migrate through polymers and tissues and how they are taken up by the body. Challenges arise from spatially varying material properties, nonlinear boundary conditions and the coupling between diffusion within the device and absorption by biological tissues. This paper formulates a one dimensional diffusion–absorption model for a controlled‐release reservoir coupled to a sink that mimics systemic uptake. Starting from Fick’s laws, we derive the governing partial differential equation with a first order absorption term and solve it using separation of variables and Laplace transforms. The model predicts concentration profiles inside the device and the fraction of drug released as functions of time. Results show that higher diffusion coefficients accelerate release, whereas stronger absorption reduces internal concentrations but increases the rate of systemic delivery. The proposed framework provides insights into the interplay between device parameters and pharmacokinetic outcomes and offers guidelines for optimizing controlled release formulations.
SPEECH EMOTION RECOGNITION USING COMBINED TRIPLET AND SINGLE-HEADED ATTENTION-ENABLED INTEGRATED RECURRENT NETWORK Vaishali Rajput, Vinayak Musale, Sagar Mohite, Amruta Amune, Swati Jadhav Biomedical Engineering Applications Basis and Communications, 2025 Speech Emotion Recognition (SER) stands as a crucial field within Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), drawing significant attention from researchers because of its broad applications. The ability to recognize emotions conveyed through speech is essential for effective two-way communication, making it a pivotal aspect in various domains. Several existing researches have addressed certain drawbacks such as dataset issues, lack of computational efficiency, interpretability, and so on. To overcome the issues and to perform the efficient SER, a combined Triplet and Single-headed Attention-enabled Recurrent Long Gated Network (TriSiH-RLG2) model is proposed in the research, which is designed through the integration of triplet attention, single-headed attention, and recurrent networks that includes Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), Long Short-term Memory (LSTM), and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), which eliminates the drawbacks of each model and enhances the overall efficacy of the research. Further to elevate the accuracy of the research, the Gradient Boosting Machine (GBM) is utilized as the classifier that performs the efficient SER through the ensemble learning approach. The contributed TriSiH attention is the incorporation of the two standard attention mechanisms, which act as the spotlight to highlight the relevant features from the input, thus making the research model highly proficient. The experimentation is done using RAVDESS emotional speech dataset and the performance of the provided model is revealed through metrics such as Precision, Recall, Accuracy, and [Formula: see text]1-score that achieve 94.338%, 98.344%, 96.875%, and 96.299%, respectively.
