Shivani Kapoor, Fehmina Khalique, Ankita Kapoor, Sanshya Kapoor
Handbook of Human Factors and Ergonomics in Contemporary Business Strategic Orientation Corporate Success and Innovation, 2025
Strategic orientation within organizations plays a vital role in shaping and determining the culture, practices, and results of workplace environments. This abstract discovers the incorporation of strategic orientation with Human Factors and Ergonomics (HF&E) interventions as a source of improving employee well-being and productivity. Strategic orientation encompasses the alliance of the goals of the organization, assets, means and resources, and activities to achieve sustainable growth and competitive advantage. HF&E interventions along with strategic orientation can raise a favorable environment where employee well-being and productivity flourish together. HF&E interventions emphasize on enhancing the interaction and collaboration between individuals, work environment, and technology to stimulate efficiency safety, and satisfaction. These interventions incorporate task analysis, ergonomic workstation design, psychosocial interventions, and workload management. They all are directed toward creating an empowering and supportive work environment. By strategically and purposefully integrating HF&E interventions into organizational policies and practices, organizations can enable themselves to establish their commitment to well-being of the employee and improved productivity. This integration involves the need for a holistic approach that envisages the numerous needs and preferences of employees across different functions and roles. Strategically-focused HF&E interventions highlight active actions such as ergonomic assessments, employee training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. They also highlight the significance of employee involvement, leadership support, and organizational learning to look forward to sustainable long-term welfare and benefits. Empirical evidence recommends that organizations that prioritize both HF&E interventions and strategic orientation achieve positive outcomes. These positive outcomes include fewer work-related injuries, reduced absenteeism, and improved job satisfaction. Furthermore, improved employee well-being adds to greater levels of creativity, engagement, and overall performance of the organization. In the end, the paper highlights the importance of the strategic orientation of organizations that can assist as a catalyst and a facilitator for incorporating HF&E interventions into workplace practices, thus stimulating employee well-being and productivity. Alignment of strategic goals with employee-centric initiatives can lead to a healthy culture that ensures safety, and excellence driving toward sustainable success.

Evaluating Global Accreditation Standards for Higher Education, 2024
The quality examination of Indian higher education institutions plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality education to students. This analysis is important in a country like India, which has a large and diverse higher education system. In this chapter, the authors explore the past and present efforts made by various accreditation agencies and organizations in India to maintain and enhance the quality of education in higher education institutions. In order to provide students with high-quality instruction and track any decline in the availability of higher education, several quality control and education assessment units were established in India. This integration between academic learning and the corporate world ensures that students are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their fields. By examining the establishment of quality control units, the role of accreditation agencies, and the impact of accreditation on educational standards, the authors aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the quality examination process in Indian higher education.
