IoT and AI Based Smart Agriculture System for Real-Time Soil Nutrient Monitoring and Precision Fertilizer Management S. Vinodhini, M. Sindhuja, P. Saravanan, S Sathya IEEE International Conference on Electronic Systems and Intelligent Computing Icesic 2026 Proceedings, 2026 All economies of the world are founded on agriculture, which produces food and fiber to a growing population. But there is the increasing demand of innovative, productive and sustainable methods of farming. There are fertilizers that have to be spread in the field that have nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) to increase soil fertility and crop productivity. Agri Insight Manager, the future of farming with a combination of IoT, AI and analytics. Monitoring automatic watering systems it can analyze NPK value, temperature, pH, humidity and EC (the power of electrical conductivity) in real-time by sensing sensor data. Artificial intelligence examines such details as the precise quantity of fertilizer and water that any specific crop will respond best to and reduces the waste and maximizes its productivity. The system also automates irrigation and fertilization to precisely deliver the nutrients. The historical data were analyzed by using machine learning algorithms. It is a clever aspect that rational utilization of resources is done without overfertilizing and in a manner that the effects on the surrounding environment are minimized resulting in sustainable agriculture. The TerraTech Agri Insight Manager Smart and Sustainably plans the future of agriculture to address the future of the world.
A Hybrid Framework for Enhancing VANET Network Security in Smart Cities Using Transfer Learning-Based Threat Detection and Mitigation P. Soubhagyalakshmi, P. Saravanan, N. Jeenath Shafana, D. Shofia Priyadharshini, G. K. Sandhia Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, 2025 Instantaneous interaction and autonomous modes of transport are facilitated by Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs), which play a crucial role in the development of smart cities. However, the flexible and autonomous architecture of VANETs poses significant security risks, including susceptibility to cyberattacks, privacy breaches, and information manipulation. These challenges are exacerbated by high node mobility and the large volume of heterogeneous data exchanged in modern urban environments. This study proposes a novel security framework that leverages transfer learning‐based threat detection and mitigation techniques to address these issues. By utilizing pre‐trained machine learning models fine‐tuned with VANET‐specific datasets, the approach reduces training time and computational costs while enabling efficient detection of anomalies and attacks. The objectives are to enhance network security, safeguard data integrity, and minimize latency in threat detection processes. Research findings indicate that the proposed framework outperforms traditional machine learning models in terms of scalability, resilience, and the ability to detect malicious activities. By providing a secure communication infrastructure for VANETs, this research contributes to the development of reliable and efficient smart city systems.
Plant Disease Detection System Using Convolutional Neural Networks and TensorFlow Lite Ayush Garg, Anurag Bose, Saravanan P 2024 International Conference on System Computation Automation and Networking Icscan 2024, 2024 This research paper presents a comprehensive, intelligent system for detecting plant diseases using deep learning models. The system's novelty lies in its ability to automatically retrain itself when sufficient new data is gathered, allowing for continuous model improvement without manual intervention. Unclassified plant images are routed to an “unknown” category, where domain experts can manually label them. The retraining process is triggered once a threshold number of images are labelled, ensuring the model can learn from real-world data continuously. The system utilizes a backend developed with Flask and a frontend using Next.js 14 and Tailwind CSS for an intuitive user experience. Additionally, secure APIs are implemented to ensure that only authenticated administrators have access to manage the system and the unclassified images. Over several retraining cycles, the system demonstrated improved accuracy and adaptability, addressing critical challenges in plant disease detection and classification in real-world applications.
Exploring Homophobic Discourse in Tamil Transcripts: A Comparative Analysis of Sentiment Classification Models using TF-IDF Vectorization Soubraylu Sivakumar, Jyothi Prakash, P. Saravanan, T. Rajesh Kumar, Selvanayaki Kolandapalayam, Ratnavel Rajalakshmi 2nd IEEE International Conference on Advances in Information Technology Icait 2024 Proceedings, 2024 This research delves into the linguistic patterns of homophobic discourse within Tamil transcripts, employing sentiment analysis methods and TF-IDF vectorization for feature representation. Homophobia, characterized by prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against individuals based on their sexual orientation, is a pervasive issue addressed in this study. Various ML algorithms, such as Support Vector Machine Classifier (SVM), Naive Bayes Classifier (NBC), Logistic Regression, and Gradient Boosting (GB), are utilized to discern and assess their effectiveness in distinguishing between homophobic and non-homophobic language. The dataset has been derived from various online platforms, prominently including YouTube, alongside other sources. Performance metrics including accuracy, F1 score, precision, and support are employed to gauge the models' performance. The outcomes shed light on the prevalent discriminatory language within the Tamil-speaking community and offer insights into combating homophobia through computational linguistic techniques. Notably, SVM demonstrated the highest accuracy of 88.18% in the classification task.
2D Wound Image Segmentation Using Deep Learning Algorithms Soubraylu Sivakumar, V. S. V. Abhiram, P. Rama, Vikram Kallakrinda, T. Rajesh Kumar, P. Saravanan 2024 2nd International Conference on Advances in Computation Communication and Information Technology Icaiccit 2024, 2024 The purpose of wound segmentation is to accurately identify and delineate wound areas in images, enabling precise analysis of metrics like size, shape, and spread. This aids healthcare professionals in assessing wound severity and monitoring treatment progress. This research focuses on developing an automated wound image segmentation tool using the Deep learning Algorithms. The objective is to enhance wound assessment accuracy by precisely identifying and segmenting wound areas in digital images. Three models are employed to find the effectiveness in segmenting the wound which includes U- Net, DeepLabV3+ and Mask-CNN. The deep learning models are trained on a massive dataset of wound pictures and masks; they then provide segmented outputs, which are examined for wound characteristics and severity. The U-Net model has obtained better performance in segmenting the wound with an accuracy of $\mathbf{9 2. 3} \%$. This work seeks to incorporate advanced capabilities into a user-friendly interface for practical use in clinical settings. Initial results demonstrate promising segmentation accuracy, with plans for further enhancements in future.
