Green Pioneers in the Maze of Sustainability: Machine Learning Insights into the Drivers of Eco-Entrepreneurship T. Sobha Rani, V. Srikanth, K. Vasudha, Deepthi V, Md Shaik Amzad Basha International Conference on Distributed Computing and Optimization Techniques Icdcot 2024, 2024 Background : This study seeks to identify the elements that motivate students to pursue green entrepreneurship. In order to help achieve sustainable development objectives, it aims to comprehend how students from NIT's views on environmental sustainability and their confidence in their own entrepreneurial talents impact the choice to launch environmentally conscious companies. Methods Used: Collecting data via a structured questionnaire centered on green qualities, opportunity recognition, green attractiveness, and entrepreneurial skills, the research used a mix of qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Key determinants of green entrepreneurship activity were identified by analyzing the replies using several machine learning algorithms. While previous research has shown that environmentally conscious business practices are important, no one has yet developed a model that takes into account individual characteristics, environmental factors, and legal requirements to foretell how an entrepreneur would behave under a green light. This study addresses a gap in the existing literature by presenting a new paradigm that explains the roles of regulatory frameworks and environmental knowledge as mediating and moderating factors, respectively, in influencing green entrepreneurship behavior. Results Achieved: Early findings from machine learning analysis indicate a robust relationship between the tendency to participate in green entrepreneurship and an individual's green desirability, opportunity perception, and entrepreneurial skill. The importance of these parameters in forecasting green entrepreneurial intents was shown by the strong predictive performance of models like Logistic Regression and AdaBoost classifiers exhibit superior performance. Concluding Remarks: This study presents a novel research framework that looks at how green attributes and entrepreneurial skills affect green entrepreneurship behavior. It then takes a look at how regulatory frameworks and environmental knowledge mediate this relationship, and how it all adds up to sustainable development.
The Role of Machine Learning in Cultivating Green Entrepreneurs: A Study of Governance in South Indian Educational Institutes T. Sobha Rani, V. Srikanth, K. Vasudha 2023 3rd International Conference on Smart Generation Computing Communication and Networking Smart Gencon 2023, 2023 The transition to a sustainable economy is imperative in the face of global environmental challenges. A pivotal element in this transformation is the cultivation of green entrepreneurship. This study investigates the role of governance in various educational institutions across South India in nurturing the entrepreneurial intentions of students towards establishing green ventures. By employing machine learning techniques on survey data, we aim to detract from the inclination to pursue green entrepreneurship. Despite the burgeoning need for sustainable business practices, there is a gap in understanding how institutional governance affects the propensity of students to embark on green entrepreneurial endeavors. This study addresses the gap by examining the drivers and deterrents within the educational ecosystems that influence students' entrepreneurial ambitions. To address the research problem, we utilized a data-driven approach, applying several machine learning models to predict the likelihood of entrepreneurial intentions among students. This predictive analysis helps in identifying the key institutional factors that could foster and hinder green entrepreneurial activities. Our methodology encompasses quantitative analysis of survey data collected from students across various institutions. The data underwent preprocessing, feature selection, and was subjected to machine learning models for classification. The analysis involved comparing the predictive power of Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, and SVMs. The findings indicate that certain governance practices within educational institutions significantly influence students' green entrepreneurial intentions. The Random Forest model, in particular, demonstrated high accuracy and provided deep insights into the influential factors driving these intentions.
Are Women Employees in Engineering Institutions Suffer from the Stress: An Investigation Approach T. Sobha Rani, L. Prathiba, Md Shaik Amzad Basha, Vikram Khangembam, M. Martha Sucharitha 2023 International Conference for Advancement in Technology Iconat 2023, 2023 Workplace stress could be detrimental to both the employer and its employees. The greatest ways to keep distress at bay in the workplace are via competent management and well-organized processes. Supervisors must recognize signs of staff distress and be prepared to provide assistance. Whenever an individual is confronted with job expectations and pressures exceeding their skillset and expertise, they experience stress connected to their employment. Workplace stress is common and could exacerbate stress when workers don’t perceive they have the backing of management or coworkers in dealing with the challenges they face. The term ”stressed” is frequently used as a justification for ineffective management and inadequate supervision, even though it is typically caused by a misunderstanding of the difference between pressure and challenge. Stress and other forms of adversity are at an all-time high, both in the job and in personal life. Employee stress could be further exacerbated by things like job uncertainty, excessive hours, frequent changes, workload, and unattainable targets. The purpose of this article is to understand the variables that contribute to high-stress levels amongst female faculty members in engineering institutions strain in the job atmosphere. One’s ability to manage stressful work situations, the amount of social help and assistance one receives, and the coping mechanisms one employs all play significant roles in how much stress one endures on the job. This research was done because it was necessary and important. In addition, women play a larger role in society than males do. This study suggests that women experience much high levels of stress than men do employment reasons, repercussions, roles and obligations of women faculty in engineering education, and possible remedies are all explored in this paper.
