  • Critical Logistic Loss in FPSO-Tanker Transfer Process: Multistakeholder FMEA Risk Analysis
Habibi Palippui, Daniel Mohammad Rosyid, Silvianita Silvianita, Juswan Sade
Journal of Ocean Engineering and Technology, 2025
Logistic loss during FPSO–tanker transfer operations is a critical yet underexplored risk in offshore oil and gas logistics. This study aims to address the root causes of such losses, which often stem from procedural inconsistency, poor inter-stakeholder coordination, and reliance on manual documentation. FMEA conducted twenty-three logistics activities involving eight stakeholder groups. Risk Priority Numbers (RPN) were computed based on severity, occurrence, and detection scores aligned with ISO 17776 and API RP 17Q standards. Input data were collected from standard operating procedures, audit reports, and incident records. The results show that five key activities- monitoring transfer (RPN = 360), tanker positioning (RPN = 324), verification of quantity (RPN = 300), document exchange (RPN = 294), and loading coordination (RPN = 280)- collectively contribute over 75% of the total logistic risk. These findings suggest the urgent need for digital interventions such as IoT-based monitoring, automated verification systems, and cloud-based coordination platforms to reduce operational uncertainties and enhance offshore logistics resilience.
  • Digital logistics anomaly management systems (DLAMS): A bibliometric analysis and research framework
Habibi Palippui, Daniel Mohammad Rosyid, Silvianita, Juswan Sade
Asian Journal of Shipping and Logistics, 2025
Digital Logistics Anomaly Management Systems (DLAMS) have become a critical infrastructure in modern supply chain operations, enabling the real-time monitoring and management of anomalies through the integration of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, and big data analytics. This paper presents a structured and systematic bibliometric analysis to trace the evolution of DLAMS research by examining 89 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2009 and 2023. Utilizing VOSviewer and Publish or Perish tools, this study identified eight major thematic clusters, 142 topic interconnections, and the growing importance of intelligent systems in anomaly detection. The findings reveal a significant shift from traditional logistics monitoring to data-driven and technologically advanced frameworks, with recent attention to intrusion detection, medical logistics applications, and cross-disciplinary integration. The analysis also uncovered key research gaps, particularly in real-world implementation and sector-specific applications, while proposing a research framework that connects technical progress with broader academic and policy implications. This study contributes to mapping the intellectual landscape of DLAMS and shapes future research directions in digital logistics anomaly management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Based Moral Hazard Analysis Model in FPSO-Tanker Oil Transfer
Habibi Palippui, Daniel M. Rosyid, Silvianita, Juswan Sade
    Emerging Science Journal, 2025
This study aims to address moral hazard risks in FPSO-tanker oil transfer operations by introducing a semi-quantitative model rooted in stakeholder engagement theory. The model, named SEMHAM (Stakeholder Engagement-based Moral Hazard Analysis Model), incorporates four engagement indicators to calculate the total involvement percentage (PTI): Occurrence Frequency Value (OFV), Responsibility Weight Value (RWV), Critical Role Value (CRV), and Process Impact Value (PIV) to calculate the Total Involvement Percentage (PTI). This metric quantifies the behavioral influence of each stakeholder in the offloading process. Using operational data from 17 offshore zones based on Pertamina's 2023 report, eight primary stakeholder roles were evaluated using a weighted activity matrix. The findings indicate that FPSO Crew and Ship Crew possess the highest PTI scores, signifying greater control and potential risk, whereas administrative actors such as agents and port authorities were identified as lower-risk participants. The SEMHAM model facilitates risk classification and recommends appropriate digital oversight, including IoT-based monitoring, smart contracts, and role-based dashboards. This approach enables the integration of behavioral risk metrics into digital governance systems, thus supporting real-time operational monitoring. The model also demonstrates potential scalability to more complex offshore energy domains, such as LNG terminals and deepwater operations, enabling broader stakeholder governance beyond the current FPSO-tanker context.
  • Ship building design of general cargo vessel using comparator ship method in port route of Jakarta-Makassar-Manokwari
    H Palippui, T Pairunan
Iop Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science, 2021
Marine-based industrial development includes several sectors including Sea Transportation Services, Ferry Services, Capture Fisheries, Offshore Oil & Gas, Marine Biological Resources, Marine Tourism, and Energy Conversion, which in general both management and operations require supporting facilities, namely ships. with certain types that can serve these interests. During the current economic recovery period, there need to be concrete and more innovative steps that must be pursued by all parties, both government and private, in order to reduce the time needed to improve the state’s economic condition. Hence, the role of marine potential is very vital to be further developed in the future. The optimization results of the comparison ship obtained the main dimensions of the design vessel, namely: Lbp = 81.19 m, B = 15.00 m, T = 5.50 m, H = 7.00 m, Cb = 0.75, Cm = 0.99, Cw = 0.84 Cpv = 0.89, Cph = 0.76, Fb = 1.50 m, Fn = 0.22, Displacement = 5280.91 tons, Volume = 5131.583 m3, GRT = 3910 tons, Vs = 12 knots, Lwl = 83.22 m. This comparator ship method makes it easy for ship designers with accurate results.
  • Lifting analysis of Mooring Support Structure (MSS) in offshore tower yoke by top panel stacking structure method
    H Palippui, S Ramadhan
Iop Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science, 2020
One indicator of the success of an offshore development project is its completion on time. Supporting factors of this time are the availability of lifting equipment that has a high capacity. Lifting the top panel on the MSS tower yoke system with all its main components is done by planning using crane tools that are improvised by the stacking structure method. The stacking structure method is done by doing all the installation of the primary and secondary structures on the top panel carried out at the bottom (ground) then lifted onto the tower yoke system by using several cranes lifting equipment. Whereas the determination of the center of gravity and the lifting point using SACS (Structural Analysis Computer System) software found that the top weight of the MSS Panel was 3705 KN with the center of gravity (x, y, z); (12.10 m, 9.43 m, 31.66 m) and MSS stacking top panel using four lifting points requires four cranes. The stacking structure method has a high potential used as a procedure for reducing offshore development costs.
