  • Hybrid DEEP-learning model for resilient tourism enterprises
Amit Verma, Priyanka Verma, Noura Mansoura, Shanthi Rajan
Annals of Tourism Research Empirical Insights, 2026
The tourism business is increasingly encountering disruptions due to external shocks, fluctuating demands, and changing tourist sentiments. Whereas conventional risk prediction models are mostly static and less responsive. The study aims to design a real-time decision support tool through a novel CRISP-LSTM11 Cascading Risk-Integrated Strategic Planning using Long Short-Term Memory model, integrating hierarchical LSTM structures with attention-driven multimodal fusion of tourism statistics, online reviews, and GDELT22 Global Database of Events, Language, and Tone events. The results reveal that CRISP-LSTM performs better than conventional models, with better precision, recall, F1-score, and AUC (0.86, 0.90, 0.88, and 0.92, respectively). Simulations on high-risk scenarios indicates reduced economic loss (40%) and recovery time (six months). The real-time CRISP-LSTM significantly enhances strategic results with extreme disruption scenarios. Thus, the study offers a practical and novel approach for tourism enterprise resilience.
  • Interactive QR Tourism System using gTTS & Groq
Shaina Shores, Vinod Kumar Shukla, Amit Verma
2025 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Knowledge Economy Iccike 2025, 2025
In an increasingly globalized world, providing multilingual and accessible information at cultural heritage sites is essential for enhancing the tourist experience. However, not all of these sites are equipped well enough to provide their users with this satisfactory experience. This paper presents the development and deployment of a cost-effective, web-based multilingual platform designed specifically for monuments in remote areas. The system allows users to scan QR code and access monument descriptions translated into their preferred language, accompanied by an audio playback for improved accessibility, particularly for non-native speakers and visually impaired individuals. Built using Flask as the backend framework, the application integrates Google Translate (via the googletrans library) for dynamic translation and Google Text-to-Speech (gTTS) for audio generation. The monument content is managed through a PostgreSQL database, while an interactive chatbot powered by the Groq API and LLaMA 3 model provides real-time conversational assistance. The application is deployed on Render, ensuring seamless access and scalability. This solution demonstrates how modern technologies can be combined to promote cultural inclusivity and enhance educational engagement at heritage sites.
  • Impact of Central Bank Digital Currencies on GDP, Forex, and Tourism
Amit Verma, Noura Mansoura, Vinod Kumar Shukla
Proceedings of the 2025 International Conference on Technology Enabled Economic Changes Intech 2025, 2025
The increase in the Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) traction around the world and their impact on economic efficiency, GDP growth, financial sector earnings, and forex revenues is still under the observation in multiple countries, raising the key questions on financial inclusion. The introduction of CBDCs in tourism economies presents a complex trade-off between reducing forex fees and maintaining financial sector revenues. By eliminating intermediaries in currency exchange, CBDCs could significantly lower conversion costs for tourists, allowing them to spend more freely on local goods, services, and experiences. This increased spending has the potential to stimulate economic growth, particularly in sectors like hospitality, retail, and entertainment. However, the downside is that banks, money exchange services, and financial institutions that rely on forex transaction fees and spreads may see a decline in revenue. This could impact GDP contributions from the financial sector, particularly in economies where forex services play a major role. The key question is whether the economic boost from higher tourist spending will offset the lost revenues from currency exchanges-or whether governments and central banks will need to rethink their regulatory and tax policies to maintain financial stability in a digital currency landscape. The paper will be focusing on how CBDCs may influence tourism, foreign exchange revenues, and overall economic growth and provide the real time impact by summarizing the key questions such as the potential for CBDCs to enhance tourist spending, streamline payments, and affect global travel patterns. The paper would propose a model to support cross border CBDCs to enhance the stakeholders of the tourism industry for their specific roles while enhancing the convenience for the tourist.

2025 International Conference on Business Intelligence for Technology Innovation Icbiti 2025, 2025
The adoption of AI technology as its primary operating basis through advanced technological systems enables SDM to transform tourist industries. The tourism industry applies Artificial Intelligence automation so as to generate predictive models and personalized offerings for designing customized tourist projects. The study examines how AI enhances the operations of SDM services to produce improved tourist satisfaction by utilizing customer data insights. Three hundred and fifty international tourists utilizing Artificial Intelligence tourism platforms served as the sample base for research. SEM analysis verified both immediate research hypotheses and the single hypothesis concerning mediation effects. The implementation of Artificial Intelligence enhances both SDM operations and consumer insights generation processes to deliver highly satisfactory experiences to tourists. The study demonstrates that insights function as an essential connection which links AI technology to valuable user experiences of tourism services. This research enables tourism authorities and marketers to acquire strategic understanding about AI's worth for achieving personalized quality goals within tourism satisfaction systems.
  • Sustain Wise: A Cross-Cultural Artificial Intelligence Model for Predicting Eco-Conscious Consumer Behavior in UAE Hospitality
Sarwat Jahan, Tajwar Hussaini, Syed Waqar Haider, Amit Verma, Afseer Majeed, Sidra Abid
Proceedings 1st International Conference on Frontier Technologies and Solutions Icfts 2025, 2025
The increasing urgency of climate change has placed sustainability at the forefront of global policy, business operations, and consumer preferences. In the hospitality industry-particularly within culturally diverse regions like the United Arab Emirates (UAE)-understanding eco-conscious behavior is both a strategic and operational imperative. This paper introduces Sustain Wise AI, a hybrid cross-cultural artificial intelligence model that predicts eco-conscious consumer behavior by integrating demographic survey data, behavioral transaction logs, and social sentiment analysis. The proposed model uniquely incorporates Hofstede's cultural dimensions through a dynamic attention mechanism, allowing it to account for nationality-specific behavioral norms that influence sustainability preferences. To evaluate its performance, SustainWise AI was benchmarked against nine widely used machine learning and deep learning models, including Logistic Regression, Random Forest, XGBoost, and standard Deep Neural Networks. The dataset included structured responses from 3,500 UAE-based hotel guests, 15,000 behavioral log entries, and over 100,000 sentiment-labeled reviews from TripAdvisor and Google. The model achieved superior results across all evaluation metrics: 91.48% accuracy, 92.37% precision, 90.25% recall, 91.30% F1-score, and 94.57% AUC. These results demonstrate the model's robust ability to generalize across heterogeneous cultural backgrounds and behavioral patterns. By fusing textual, transactional, and demographic features with cultural intelligence, Sustain Wise AI provides a scalable solution for eco-targeted marketing, green product customization, and sustainability impact assessments in the UAE's dynamic hospitality landscape. The model's ability to identify nuanced behavioral triggers and culturally conditioned sustainability cues marks a significant advancement in predictive behavioral modeling for sustainable development.
