received B.E degree in Electronics and communication Engineering from Anna University Chennai, Chennai in 2008 and M.E degree in Communication systems from Anna University Chennai, Chennai, in 2011. He received his Ph.D in Antenna and Microwave Engineering from Anna University Chennai in 2022. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Chennai. He is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has published papers in several International Journals, international and national conferences. He has received publication recognition award during 2023 from Anna University Chennai for publishing his research work consistently in Q1 Journals.     Reliable wireless communication is essential for Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, particularly for air to ground data transmission, surveillance, and navigation tasks. Conventional microstrip patch antennas are widely used in UAV communication due to their compact structure and lightweight characteristics; however, they often suffer from limited bandwidth, impedance mismatch, and moderate radiation performance when deployed in compact platforms. Existing antenna designs for the 2.4 GHz ISM band face challenges related to improving gain and maintaining stable directional radiation while keeping the antenna small. To address these issues, this study proposes a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{2} \boldsymbol{\times} \mathbf{1}$</tex> slot-loaded microstrip patch antenna array, designed to operate at 2.46 GHz for UAV communication. The antenna is built on a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{1. 6 ~ m m}$</tex> thick FR-4 substrate and uses carefully placed slots in the radiating patches. These slots change the surface current distribution and improve impedance matching. In addition, a corporate feed network, using quarter-wave impedance transformers, is included to ensure efficient power distribution among the array elements. The antenna design and performance evaluation are carried out using CST Microwave Studio through full-wave electromagnetic simulations in the 2-3 GHz frequency range. Simulation results demonstrate a return loss of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{- 2 6. 1 4 ~ d B}$</tex>, VSWR of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{1. 1 0}$</tex>, directivity of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{8. 2 ~ d B i}$</tex>, and gain of 4.5 dBi with stable broadside radiation. The proposed antenna provides an efficient solution for ground-to-air communication links in UAV ground stations for telemetry and communication systems operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM band.
  • PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF EUV HOLOGRAPHIC BEAMFORMING IN VEHICULAR COMMUNICATION NETWORK

    This paper presents an analysis of the capacity and bit error rate (BER) in a vehicular communication network that utilizes holographic beamforming at the transmitter. The network operates in urban areas and connects vehicles to the internet through infrastructure. The holographic beamforming technique employed is known as passive electronically steered array (PESA) or phased array, which enables antenna movement control without discrete phase shifters. In optical holography, the reference wave is the traveling wave that transforms into the desired beam, referred to as the object wave. The hologram acts as the structure that transfers energy from the reference wave to the object wave. The pattern of element coupling, which converts guided excitation into a free space wave, is represented by the hologram. In this study, we propose the use of an extreme ultraviolet (EUV) hologram to enhance the system’s performance, particularly in meeting terabyte-level bandwidth requirements. Each base station in the network consists of a large number of antennas. The EUV holographic beamformer serves as a passive system, enabling both reception and transmission using the hologram without the need for antenna-level switching. This eliminates the requirement for separate amplifiers and baseband components at the antenna level because they can be contained within the radio unit. The paper derives closed-form expressions for the capacity and BER of the proposed EUV hologram-based vehicle communication network, considering both base station and access point setups.
  • Multiband reconfigurable MIMO antenna using fractal geometry and PIN diode switches for next generation wireless networks

    This study presents the design and analysis of a unique reconfigurable multiband antenna that utilizes reciprocity theory and fractal geometry, with the PIN diode serving as the driving mechanism for compact, advanced wireless communication systems. The proposed antenna design system comprises architectural structures known as Ohmic (Antenna 1) and Sigma (Antenna 2). The simulation of the suggested method was conducted using the HFSS software in Ansys. The analysis and presentation of the simulated and measured findings are conducted. The presented antenna system is designed to radiate at a center frequency of 4 GHz–5 GHz. The findings suggest that the antenna system suggested in this study provides the capability for multi-frequency operation, which is regulated by the ON and OFF states of the PIN diode. Ohmic antenna radiates from 2.3 GHz to 6.8 GHz, achieving 4 frequency bands of operation during the ON state of the diode and covers from 2.5 GHz to 6.85 GHz in the OFF state, enabling three frequency bands of operation. Reciprocally, the Sigma antenna radiates from 2.3 GHz to 6.4 GHz, covering 3 frequency bands of operation during the ON state and achieves 4 frequency bands of operation covering from 2.6 GHz to 6.2 GHz during the OFF state. Furthermore, the separate functionality of the scheme’s antennas is also showcased. The empirical examination of the antenna constructed using a FR4 substrate provided empirical support for the concurrence observed in the simulation outcomes.

    Recent developments in the healthcare sector allow the Internet of Things (IoT) to connect numerous medical gadgets, sensors, and healthcare professionals, offering quality medical services in remote areas. The use of IoT in healthcare increases patient safety, reduces healthcare costs, boosts the accessibility of healthcare services, and enhances operational efficiency in the healthcare industry. This paper introduces a novel disease diagnosis and prediction model, leveraging IoT and cloud technologies, named TLBO-KELM. This model employs the teaching and learning-based 0ptimization (TLBO) algorithm in conjunction with the kkernel extreme learning machine (KELM). Initially, the model conducts data collection from diverse sources including IoT devices, data repositories, and medicinal records. Subsequently, TLBO-KELM is implemented to identify and envisage diseases using patient data. The TLBO algorithm within KELM aids in parameter tuning-enhancing classification performance. Evaluation against a benchmark diabetic retinopathy (DR) dataset demonstrates superior performance compared to previous models, validating the efficacy of TLBO-KELM.
  • Design of MIMO Dielectric Resonator Antenna for 5G Wireless Applications

    In this paper a multiple input multiple output dielectric resonator antenna is proposed for 5G wireless applications. Two circular shaped dielectric resonators are placed on the Rogers’s 5880 substrate and they are driven by slots that are positioned below the Dielectric resonator. A metal strip is positioned on top surface of each DR helps to enhance the isolation among the two dielectric resonators by redirecting the strongest part of field from the slot. The proposed antenna yield a simulated impedance bandwidth of 6.6% which covers the range of frequencies from 26-28 GHz with better isolation for 5G Wireless Applications.

    3D pose estimation plays a vital role in many industries like, Medicine, Entertainment, Sports, etc. This usually costs a lot of money to efficiently capture the pose of the human, this includes the usage of high-precision motion capture suits and multiple cameras at different angles to calculate the position of each joint and process them. This involves a lot of computational resources and time to process the data. To minimize this work, we are proposing a CNN-based approach for 3D Pose estimation which can determine the Pose of the human with just a single RGB Image. For training this network, we are using our synthetic dataset made by rendering realistic 3D models and extracting the ground truth from it along with other Datasets. Unlike in other methods, we use rotation (X, Y, Z) of certain bones that are needed for movement instead of estimating the joint locations and we use Ultrasonic sensors for ground detection, which enables us to estimate the pose in the picture.
  • Enhanced Early Brain Tumor Detection Crossing Blood–Brain Barrier through MRI Images Using Berkeley Wavelet-Transformation-Based Segmentation

    Brain tumor is one of the reasons for several mortality cases in hospitals. Early detection and diagnosis of brain tumors are necessary to cure the disease early. The extraction of the tumor from the brain's magnetic resonance image (MRI) is considered to be a difficult task when done by clinical experts, and it is also pretty time-consuming. These drawbacks can be overcome by using computer vision-based technologies. The proposed method detects brain tumor crossing the blood-brain barrier (BBB) through MRI images by using Berkeley wavelet transformation (BWT) for segmenting the affected areas. Support vector machine (SVM) is used for classification purpose by which the classification process is divided into two different categories namely, the tumor affected and tumor non-affected parts. Initially, the acquired image is converted to a greyscale from RGB. Then, image segmentation is done. During the image segmentation, morphological operations are carried out. Two morphological operations have been used in the proposed system. They are erosion and dilation. Both these techniques are used for edge detection. In erosion, the pixels are removed from the edges of the tumor image. In dilation, pixels are added at the edges of the tumor images. After the morphological operation, feature extraction is carried out. The features like homogeneity, contrast of the image and the energy might be determined. Then, the image is classified using the SVM classification algorithm. The experimental results have been tabulated and depicted using graphical representations. Comparing to the existing approaches the proposed method is proved to be better in accuracy and efficiency.
  • Design of Multi-Band Hybrid Fractal Antenna For Wireless Application

    The proposed hybrid fractal antenna is designed to meet the demand of size miniaturization, multiband and low cost in Wireless Communication applications. The different two geometries such as Koch and Minkowski are combined to form a hybrid fractal antenna which have the ability to design a multiband compact size antenna with enhance bandwidth characteristics. The hybrid structure of the antenna is obtained by using Iterative function. Micro strip line feed is used to excite the patch of the antenna. The proposed shape is designed using FR-4 Epoxy substrate since it is readily accessible and inexpensive. The radiation pattern is omnidirectional and the VSWR is in the range between 1 and 2 for all resonant frequencies. With the aid of Ansoft High-Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) antenna parameters such as gain, VSWR, and return loss are noted. The designed antenna is capable of resonating at a different frequencies, including Bluetooth (2.12–2.95 GHz), WLAN (4.82–5.95 GHz), and ISM Bands.
  • Design of Dual band slot loaded Microstrip Patch Antenna for Wireless Applications

    This work shows a dual band rectangular patch antenna with micro strip line. The suggested antenna has a dimension of size 33 x 27 mm2 and is constructed on a FR4 substrate. A dual band printed antenna is created by introducing wing shape slots and rectangular slots in the radiating element of the patch .The antenna is designed to operate at dual band of frequencies at 1.6/2.2 GHz bands for C band and Wi-Fi/WiMax applications. The results obtained for return loss is –11.88dB at 1.6 GHz with 3.5% bandwidth and - 13.12 dB at 2.2 GHz with 3.6% bandwidth. The suggested antenna also exhibits strong radiation properties and steady gains across the entire operating band spectrum.
