  • Designing Intelligent and Integrated Analytics Frameworks for Personalized Healthcare
    Sudharson D, Preethi K N, Rakshitha S, Sri Dharaneesh P, Diwakaran M, Saravanan A
4th International Conference on Applied Artificial Intelligence and Computing Icaaic 2025, 2025
Amid the rapid development of technology-driven industries, healthcare tops the table in data collection. Due to the massive volume of data, managing them has become a significant challenge, and they often remain unclassified and unsorted. This increases the difficulty in interpreting and analyzing their overall meaning, thereby affecting informed decision-making. This work proposes an intelligent analytics framework that blends multiple standpoints of healthcare data-including electronic health records, laboratory results, retinal imaging, and wearable device measurements-into an integrated dashboard. The framework provides clinicians with real-time access to patients' current health metrics by employing ensemble machine learning algorithms for risk prediction and advanced visualization tools for data representation. Evaluation on a multi-modal patient dataset demonstrates accurate diabetes risk assessment with an AUC-ROC of 0.921, highlighting both computational efficiency and clinical applicability. Overall, the framework offers a centralized platform for analyzing vital information to support enhanced, data-driven healthcare decisions.
  • Parallelism in Cloud Architecture using Implicit Partition Clustering Framework
    Sudharson D, Diwakaran M, Senthil Kumar V, Sukirtha S, Afsheen Zaahrah A, Karthick A
Proceedings 2024 4th International Conference on Soft Computing for Security Applications Icscsa 2024, 2024
To overcome the reliability issues concerning data's exponential growth, many optimization techniques are deployed in artificial intelligence. Parallelism in a distributed environment provides an effective solution to handle this expansion efficiently. Catering to real-time and batch-time requirements in distributed environments, Spark and Flink are two prominent, powerful, versatile, fault-tolerant, open-source frameworks providing a unified platform for large data processing. Primarily analyzing the efficiency optimization through implicit partitioning clustering algorithms and adaptable K-means. Combining a few methods for adaptable K value enhances the robustness of the clustering solution, which effectively yields optimized performance.
  • Breast Cancer Prognosis Based on Transfer Learning Techniques in Deep Neural Networks
    M. Diwakaran, D. Surendran
    Information Technology and Control, 2023
Breast cancer is a major cause of death among women in both developed and underdeveloped countries. Early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer are crucial for patients to receive proper treatment and increase their chances of survival. To improve the automatic detection and diagnosis of breast cancer, a new deep learning model called “Breast Cancer Prognosis Based Transfer Learning (BCP-TL)” has been developed. This model uses transfer learning, which applies the knowledge gained from solving one problem to another relevant problem. The model is based on a pre-trained convolutional neural network (CNN) that extracts features from the mammographic image analysis society (MIAS) dataset. Four different CNN architectures were used in thismodel: AlexNet, Xception, ResNeXt, and Channel Boosted CNN. The performance of the model was evaluated using six metrics, including accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, precision, F1-score, and the area under the ROC curve (AUC). The combination of Xception and Channel Boosted CNN showed excellent performance. By combining essential features from multiple iterations, the Channel Boosted CNN can achieve higher accuracy in breast cancer diagnosis, with an overall accuracy of 98.96%. This highlights the potential of the BCP-TL model in effectively detecting and diagnosing breast cancer.
  • Identification of COVID-19 in CT Images using Deep Learning Model
Sankar Ganesh Karuppasamy, Sheela Gowr, M Diwakaran, K. Maharajan, Sajeev Ram Arumugam, V. Rajeshram
2022 1st International Conference on Computer Power and Communications Iccpc 2022 Proceedings, 2022
Worldwide, COVID-19 has had a substantial impact on patients and hospital systems. Early identification and diagnosis are essential for regulating the growth of COVID-19. The input CT screening images are initially segmented into various regions using the Fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering technique. Next, region-based image quality enhancement employs a histogram equalization method. Furthermore, certain necessary data is represented in a new image using the Local Directional Number technique. Lastly, the input images are portioned with the help of a traditional convolutional neural network model. The proposed convolutional neural network based system was able to give an accuracy of 98.60%, and the results revealed that methods for detecting COVID-19 impact from CT scan images must be developed significantly before considering it as a medical choice. Moreover, many diverse datasets are essential to assess the processes in a real-world setting.
  • Research Challenges in Future Internet of Things (IoT) Applications and Technologies
    V. Anandkumar, M. Diwakaran, K.N. Sivabalan, R. Balakrishna
Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics Icoei 2021, 2021
The internet has become an integral part of our daily lives, and it is the medium that connects everyone on the planet, allowing individuals to exchange their opinions, knowledge, and experience. Because this entire network of individuals is connected via the internet, they might be referred to as the “internet of people”. What if the diurnal devices use by humans can also share their experiences with other things, communicate with us and work according to our commands using the internet as the medium. This whole idea is being realized under Internet of Things (IOT) technology. So, all the IOT devices or networks are developed to attain the above functionality and they are also equipped with three different layers of technologies namely Sensor, Communication and computational or processing technologies. This integrated network of various technologies is being developed to sort out the key human adversities such as water wastage, pollution, depletion of energy resources, health issues etc., and this paves way to establish a balance between the growing population and resources.
