Margarete Boteon is professor at University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and researcher from C E P E A (Center for Advanced Studies and Applied Economic). C E P E A is a research center of the University (of São Paulo located at ESALQ in Piracicaba, São Paulo - Brazil). She is an Agronomic Engineer and has PhD of Rural Economics at the University of São Paulo. At University, she teaches Agribusiness Management. In Cepea, she researches economic/management issues about fruit & vegetable, cocoa and coffee markets in Brazil and their competitiveness/sustainability with other countries. She coordinates a team of under and postgraduate students. Every week, this team collects prices and information about the markets, new technologies and groves’ trends in major producing areas in Brazil with market players (growers, wholesalers and traders).
