Efficient Prediction of Air Quality Using Hybrid Deep Learning Models Shiju Kumar P S, Sai Rithwin Reddy, Boddeti Musali Naidu, R.C. Ilambirai, S. Lourde Jame, R. K. Pongiannan Proceedings of the International Conference on Multi Agent Systems for Collaborative Intelligence Icmsci 2025, 2025 The environment and public health are seriously threatened by air pollution, which calls for efficient monitoring and forecasting in order to control and manage the problem. This study uses cutting-edge deep learning techniques to develop a time series prediction model for several air pollutants. Using time series data, the suggested model captures the seasonal patterns and temporal dependencies present in air quality datasets. To increase prediction accuracy, the study employs a range of deep learning architectures, including hybrid models and recurrent neural networks (RNN). Findings: Predicting air quality in real time and with high accuracy is made possible by deep learning models. The findings of this study contribute to the development of air quality monitoring systems, which in turn helps improve public health and environmental conservation decision-making.
Application of CNN Based Deep Learning Algorithm for Herbal Plant Leaf Detection R. K. Pongiannan, Sagardeep Das, Rudra Prakash Purbia, R. Brindha, S. Lourde Jame, P.S. Shiju Kumar Proceedings of the International Conference on Multi Agent Systems for Collaborative Intelligence Icmsci 2025, 2025 The medicinal plant market faces challenges due to inefficiencies and a lack of transparency. In this paper, a total of 10GB dataset with 10,000 entries, including 15 attributes such as plant name, region, price, and high-resolution images capture seasonal and geographical variations. Designed for precise plant identification and market forecasting, the dataset also contains metadata and historical data on prices and demand trends. Deep learning models, including recurrent neural networks (RNN) and convolutional neural networks (CNNs), are employed for accurate plant identification. Time series analysis is used to forecast market patterns. Data optimization techniques are applied to ensure real-time insights, allowing farmers and traders to make informed decisions. This system aims to enhance market transparency and improve the decision-making process in the medicinal plant industry.
Development of Artificial Intelligence System for Driver Drowsiness Detection Shiju Kumar P S, Ajay Bhaskar H, Aishwarya M C, R.C. Ilambirai, S. Lourde Jame, R.K. Pongiannan Proceedings of the International Conference on Multi Agent Systems for Collaborative Intelligence Icmsci 2025, 2025 Drowsy driving is a significant factor in traffic accidents globally, often resulting in severe consequences for road users. This paper presents a real-time Driver Drowsiness Detection System designed to assess driver alertness through computer vision-based analysis of eye-blink patterns. Utilizing a live video feed, the system captures facial landmarks around the eyes and computes blink ratios to evaluate the driver's state. OpenCV and dlib libraries facilitate landmark detection, allowing the system to categorize the driver's condition as “Awake,” “Drowsy,” or “Asleep.” When signs of drowsiness are detected, an alert is generated to prompt driver intervention. The proposed system is a cost-effective, non-intrusive solution aimed at enhancing vehicle safety by reducing drowsiness-induced accidents, offering practical applicability for future integration into vehicle alert systems.
Dolphin echolocation optimized sailfish algorithm for energy efficient and secured routing based on trust management in ZigBee wireless sensor network P. S. Shiju Kumar, A. Ramesh Babu Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, 2022 Security is the vital phenomenon of wireless sensor network (WSN) to preserve the energy. Traditional techniques does not concern the security of routing purpose, it has limitation like low energy resource, unsecure communication channel. In this article, a dolphin echolocation optimized sailfish (DESF) algorithm for energy efficient (EE) and secured routing based on trust management in ZigBee WSN is proposed. The proposed method is combination of enhanced shortcut tree routing based dolphin echolocation sailfish (EOSTR) and DESF, hence it is called EOSTR‐DESF. Here, hybrid DESF with enhanced routing technique is used to select the optimal route. The proposed approach is implemented in NS2 and the performance of the proposed collaborative trust and tree routing based on DESF in ZigBee is compared with the existing approaches like particle swarm optimization‐ant colony optimization, firefly algorithm‐Hirschberg Sinclair, and whale optimization algorithm‐simulated annealing algorithm. Moreover, the performance is analyzed with metrics like delay, packet delivery ratio, energy consumption, throughput, and residual energy. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method is more efficient with varying nodes of 33.25%, 20.17%, 8.04% for different data transfer rate of 31.36%, 15.62%, 9.10%.
Physical position based shortcut tree routing in ZigBee WSN's Shiju Kumar P. S., A. Ramesh Babu Aip Conference Proceedings, 2021 ZigBee is a worldwide standard wireless personal area network that focuses on reducing power conception and it is also cost efficient, reliable and also contains scalable products and applications. In data communication networks, most significant functions is routing between nodes. ZigBee standard helps a combination of tree routing and vector routing on demand. Shortcut Tree Routing (STR) extensively improves the path effectiveness of ZigBee tree routing by including only the neighbor details of a hop. Also, the routing path is not always optimal in one feature of end-to-end hop distance is STR limitation. Performance of packet delivery ratio and end delay of STR is poor. ZigBee tree routing cannot provide the optimal routing path. To overcome these limitations, enhancement of STR is proposed in this method to improve the delay against STR. It is clearly that preserving two-hop neighbor information generates large protocol overhead on network through large node density. So, this work proposes an enhancement of the STR along with the information on physical position of nodes. That is, STR is used to find the next hop and from which the physical distance among node and destination is used as one of the parameters to get the good route.
Enhanced STR based geographic location in ZigBee wireless networks: a hybrid PSACO method Shiju Kumar P.S, A. Ramesh Babu International Journal of Electronics, 2021 In many resource-limited devices, ZigBee tree routing is widely utilised as it does not need any route discovery and routing table overhead through send a packet of destination. Therefore, packet follows a tree topology; thus, it may not give optimal routing path. This is fundamental limitation of ZigBee tree routing. This manuscript, establishes an enhanced shortcut tree routing-based geographic location (ESTRBGL) protocol, which implements close optimal routing path and obtain ZigBee tree routing benefits like less memory consumption as well as no discovery overhead route. The proposed routing algorithm is a combination of particle swarm optimisation (PSO) as well as ant colony optimisation (ACO) algorithm, named PSACO. Initially, for finding optimal routing path the ZTR has certain network issues like detour route as well as concentrated traffic impact, since rectify to establish ESTRBGL. Simulation outcomes display that established method extensively improves diverse network performance depend on throughput, packet delivery ratio, residual energy, delay as well as energy consumption. The results shows that proposed routing method has better throughput of 2.66%, 1.73%, 4.01%, 20.83%, 20.61%, and 95.71%, 95.88%, 95.89%, 95.88%, 95.90%, while comparing with Opportunistic Shortcut Tree Routing (OSTR) as well as Directional Opportunistic Shortcut Tree Routing (DOSTR).
