Factors influencing intention to use AI in business decision making among professional employees in Malaysia’s financial industry Gehad Mohammed Ahmed Naji, Mohammed Alzoraiki, Nagendra Suba Rao, Yulita Hanum P Iskandar Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence, 2026 Purpose This research investigates the factors influencing professional employees’ intentions to use AI in business decision-making within Malaysia’s financial industry by integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with the Value-Based Adoption Model (VAM). More specifically, the study examines how perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, perceived risk, perceived value, and attitude jointly influence behavioral intention to use artificial intelligence. Research design and methodology A quantitative approach used structured online questionnaires distributed to 210 professional employees across various Malaysian financial institutions (digital financial services, banking, insurance, investment management, and provident funds). Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4 to assess the measurement model and test the eleven hypothesized relationships. Findings The integrated TAM–VAM framework explained 74% of the variance in AI use intention, with seven of eleven hypotheses supported. Attitude was the strongest direct predictor of intention ( β = 0.773, p < 0.001). Perceived value had a significant positive effect on attitude ( β = 0.675, p < 0.001) but did not directly influence intention. Perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived enjoyment each positively affected perceived value. Perceived risk negatively influenced attitude. The results highlight perceived value and attitude as key mediators in the AI adoption process. Given the cross-sectional design, findings should be interpreted as predictive associations rather than causal effects. Research limitations This study used convenience and snowball sampling within Malaysia’s financial sector, which may introduce selection bias and limit generalizability. The sample overrepresented FinTech employees (50.5%), who may hold more favorable views toward AI compared to employees in traditional banking or insurance. Moreover, the cross-sectional design captured perceptions at a single point in time and measured behavioral intention rather than actual usage behavior, further limiting external validity. Practical/theoretical implications Theoretically, this research extends technology acceptance theory by validating the integrated TAM-VAM framework in emerging markets, showing that value-based mechanisms mediate utilitarian perceptions’ influence on attitudes. Findings offer valuable insights for financial institutions’ AI implementation, vendors’ user-centered solutions, and policymakers’ supportive regulatory frameworks for responsible AI use in Malaysia’s financial sector.
Administration by roaming and its impact on the institutional performance in the Palestinian governmental institutions Marwan Milhem, Ali Ateeq, Sameh Mahmoud Badwan, Shafeeq Ahmed Ali, Mohammed Alzoraiki, Ahmad Yahia Al Astal, Siddig Ibrahim Frontiers in Human Dynamics, 2026 This research investigates the impact of management by walking around (MBWA) on the performance of the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture. MBWA prioritizes face-to-face relationships between supervisors and staff members to improve communication, motivation, and feedback. Data was gathered from 185 workers out of a total of 328 in the directorates of Jenin, Tulkarm, Nablus, Qalqilya, and Tubas in the northern West Bank. This was done using a structured questionnaire and a descriptive-analytical approach. Participants were selected using a stratified random sampling procedure. The survey assessed the characteristics of MBWA, including fact-finding, feedback, and motivation, and examined their influence on institutional performance. The reliability and validity of the data were verified by the use of Cronbach’s Alpha and composite reliability tests. A statistical study, which included correlation and regression analysis, was conducted to evaluate connections and ascertain the influence of MBWA practices on institutional performance. The statistical research demonstrated that MBWA practices have a considerable influence on institutional performance. Feedback ( β = 0.444, p = 0.006) and motivation ( β = 0.304, p = 0.03) shown a positive correlation with improved performance. Nevertheless, the process of gathering information revealed that there was no noteworthy direct impact ( β = 0.189, p = 0.131). MBWA contributed 32.4% to the variation in institutional performance, underscoring its efficacy in enhancing results via improved feedback and motivation. Nonetheless, the process of information collection had little effect. Future studies should investigate the long-term impacts and wider application of MBWA across diverse governmental settings.
Tackling Academic Corruption in Yemen: Reforms for Integrity, Transparency, and National Development Nagwan AlQershi, Mohammed Alzoraiki, Gamal Abdual Majed Ali, Ali Salman Mohammed Emam Journal of Academic Ethics, 2025 Corruption in academia has a detrimental impact on educational quality, innovation, and public trust, especially in countries with weak governance structures like Yemen. This paper analyzes the pervasive nature of corruption in Yemeni higher education institutions, focusing on key areas such as manipulation in hiring practices, biased thesis evaluations, and the misallocation of academic grants. Studies suggest that academic corruption in Yemen contributes to a significant decline in research output and overall institutional credibility. According to a 2020 survey by Transparency International, 45% of respondents in Yemen reported encountering some form of corruption within academic settings, further exacerbating the challenges faced by the education system. This paper recommends a multi-faceted approach to combat these issues, including the implementation of standardized job advertisements, the involvement of external committees in recruitment processes, and the establishment of independent audits for grant allocations. It highlights the importance of merit-based academic progression, including peer-reviewed publications and objective thesis evaluations, to ensure academic integrity. The study also calls for the introduction of whistleblower protection programs to empower individuals to report corruption without fear of retaliation. A key recommendation is the creation of national policies and independent bodies for monitoring and enforcing academic integrity. The involvement of international organizations, such as UNESCO and Transparency International, is crucial in raising awareness and fostering best practices. Ultimately, addressing academic corruption requires comprehensive reforms, supported by both local and global stakeholders, to safeguard higher education in Yemen and ensure its role in fostering national development and innovation.
Impact of Information Communication Technology and Faculty Readiness on Teaching Effectiveness Ali Ateeq, Ranyia Ali, Mohammed Alzoraiki, Marwan Milhem, Mujeeb Saif Mohsen Al-Absy International Review of Management and Marketing, 2025 This study aimed to examine the impact of Information communication technology (ICT) and faculty readiness on teaching effectiveness in universities, particularly in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This study collected data from 181 participants using a convenient online sampling technique. Researchers gathered participants who fulfilled the inclusion criteria for the study through an online platform. The collected data were then analysed using SPSS and SmartPLS4. The results revealed a significant positive effect of ICT and faculty readiness on teaching effectiveness. The study underscores the significance of both faculty readiness and ICT integration in promoting teaching effectiveness. Educational Universities should prioritize efforts to enhance faculty readiness by providing professional development opportunities and support. Additionally, investment in ICT infrastructure and the effective integration of ICT tools can contribute to improved teaching outcomes. Hence, the study is helpful to policymakers, stakeholders, researchers, and society in general to re-evaluate and strengthen teaching effectiveness.

Nagwan Abdulwahab AlQershi, Ramyah Thursamy, Mohammed Alzoraiki, Gamal Abdualmajed Ali, Ali Salman Mohammed Emam, Muhammad Dzulhaxif Bin Muhammad Nasir Journal of Science and Technology Policy Management, 2025 Purpose This study aims to investigate the effects of three dimensions of ChatGPT strategic value – organization support (OS), managerial productivity (IM) and decision aids (DA) – on the business sustainability (BS) of Malaysian public universities. Design/methodology/approach A quantitative methodology was adopted for this study to examine the relationships between ChatGPT strategic value and the BS of Malaysian public universities. Findings The study found that two dimensions of ChatGPT strategic value, namely, OS and IM, influence BS, whereas DA do not. Research limitations/implications To the best of the author’s knowledge, this study is the first to address the relationship between ChatGPT strategic value and BS in a specific context – Malaysian public universities – providing new contributions to theory by extending the literature on the topic. Practical implications The findings are expected to guide universities in Malaysia in leveraging ChatGPT strategic value for enhancing BS. Originality/value To the best of the author’s knowledge, this empirical study is the first in the literature to examine the relationships between ChatGPT strategic value and BS in the education sector. Supported by an original conceptual model, the insights provided should extend the literature dedicated to ChatGPT strategic value and BS in the context of a South Asian economy.
