  • Q-MOHO: Q-Machine Learning Guided Multi-Objective power optimization for RIS-assisted MIMO-NOMA systems
    Suprith P G, Marulasiddappa H B
International Journal of Electronics and Telecommunications, 2026
In this study, we introduce Q-MOHO (Q-MachineLearning Guided Multi-Objective Hybrid Optimization) for powerallocation in MIMO-NOMA communication systems aided by RIS.To optimize throughput, improve equalization, and reduce powervariation, the algorithm adjusts power distribution among threeusers facilitated by 64 RIS components. Dynamically adjustingwith SNR, the optimal power distribution spans from 0.2 atelevated SNR levels to 0.8 at reduced SNRs. The Q-MOHOperformance of 5.40 bps/Hz at an SNR of 25 dB is substantial whencontrasted with equal power allocation (EPA) and difference ofconvex optimization (DCO). These results confirm that, in realworldwireless conditions, the Q-MOHO algorithm can effectivelyacquire optimal strategies and significantly enhance systemperformance.
  • Support Vector Machines and Convolutional Neural Networks for Detection of Diabetic Retinopathy Hemorrhage

Diabetic is One common causes of visual impairment and blindness globally is diabetic / retinopathy DR, particularly in diabetes people who have been diagnosed with the condition for a long time. One of the most important markers of DR is the presence of hemorrhages, and it is critical to discover them at an early stage in order to assist early treatment and the appropriate management of the illness. An automated bleeding detection system that is based on a machine learning approach using retinal pictures is addressed in the study that is currently being conducted. Improving the speed and accuracy of diagnostic processes is the driving force behind this objective. The program employs a comprehensive image processing approach to enhance quality of retinal picture and retrieve valuable data. The categorisation of hemorrhagic and normal retinal regions is executed using a Support Vector Machine, whilst feature extraction is performed via a convolutional neural network (CNN). After a period of testing on a publicly available dataset, the model shows remarkable effectiveness in detecting bleeding. When compared to more conventional approaches, the method that has been suggested demonstrates superior performance and superior resilience. By assisting ophthalmologists in early patient detection and reducing the amount of time spent manually screening patients in settings with limited resources, the computer vision application that has been presented has the potential to be of great assistance.
  • Cluster based energy efficient routing protocol for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks
    G. S. Prashanth, P. Manjunatha
Concurrency and Computation Practice and Experience, 2023
SummaryWith the advancement in recent technologies, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have emerged to become one of the key research areas. Sensor nodes in WSN are deployed randomly to sense the events that occur in an area. Clustering of sensor nodes in a wireless sensor network will result in better energy efficiency and topology management. In many scenarios, wireless sensor networks are deployed in remote areas and in hostile environments where batteries cannot be recharged or replaceable. In real world applications, heterogeneous sensor nodes with different initial energies in a WSN are more preferable to prolong stability period, network lifetime, and throughput. The main objective of this article is to design and develop a cluster‐based energy efficient routing protocol for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (CEER). The proposed CEER routing protocol is based on the residual energy of all the sensor nodes in each round, distance of each sensor node from the base station, weighted election probabilities and reliability of a sensor node and the network. It is found from the results that, the proposed CEER routing protocol provides better stability, network lifetime, and throughput as compared with the existing routing protocols of heterogeneous wireless sensor networks.
