Selection of agroforestry tree-base participatory and ecological approach in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia E I Purnawan, R Jemi, H Kasim, L A Uthan, J Regalino, A Hamidi Iop Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science, 2022 This study investigates the selection agroforestry tree species based on a participatory approach and an ecological approach in Humbang Raya village and Tumbang Mantuhe village. This study method was carried out using a participatory approach through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities and an ecological approach through the identification of tree species in open and closed forests. The results of the FGD selected tree species in Humbang Raya village as many as 17 tree species and in Tumbang Mantuhe village as many as five tree species. The results of the identification of tree species in Humbang Raya village in closed forest amounted to 34 tree species, while in open forest there were 10 tree species. In Tumbang Mantuhe village in closed forest there are 29 species of trees and open forest five species of trees. It was concluded that the selected tree species to be planted on agroforestry land in Humbang Raya village and Tumbang Mantuhe village each had 4 tree species.
Vegetation diversity of Hevea brasiliensis agroforest system in Tumbang Mantuhe Village, Gunung Mas Regency, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia E I Purnawan, R Jemi, H Kasim, L A Uthan, J Regalino, A Hamidi Iop Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science, 2021 A rubber agroforest system is a form of land use that considers ecological and economic aspects that are still maintained by the people of Tumbang Mantuhe Village. This study aims to identify and analyze the diversity of vegetation in the agroforest system in Tumbang Mantuhe Village, Gunung Mas Regency, Central Kalimantan. This research uses purposive sampling and the vegetation analysis method. The results showed that the species of vegetation in the rubber agroforest system amounted to 29 species in 23 families. At the seedling level, it is dominated by Macaranga sp. and Xylopia ferruginea; the sapling level is dominated by H. brasiliensis and Syzygium tawahense; the pole level is dominated by Deplanchea bancana and Xylopia ferruginea; at the tree, the level is dominated by H. brasiliensis and Lithocarpus sp. At the seedling, sapling, pole, and tree levels, the diversity values were moderate and the species richness values were moderate to high, and the species distribution was even (stable). The H. brasiliensis agroforest system with various trees in it is a characteristic of local wisdom that the people of Tumbang Mantuhe Village have applied from generation to generation, which provides a balance between ecology and economy.
Baeckea frutescen L. essential oil was tested with Aedes aegypti larvae at various concentration levels Renhart Jemi, Sumiati Simanullang, Sarinah, Nuwa, Gimson Luhan, Desy Natalia Koroh Iop Conference Series Materials Science and Engineering, 2021 Abstract Reducing the negative impact of using synthetic insecticides in a friendly manner. The alternative is to use a bioinsecticide. Ujung Atap ( Baeckea frutescens L.) essential oil is one of them that has the potential as a bioinsecticide. Distillation of fresh leaves and dry leaves. Aedes aegypti larvicide mortality test on the resulting essential oil. A. aegypti mosquitoes that cause dengue fever. Analyze the essential oil content of B. frutescens L. by GC-MS. The Dried Leaf Distillation of B. Frutescens L. produces more and better essential oil than fresh leaves. Dried leaf essential oil is more deadly against larvicides than fresh leaf essential oil of B. frutescens L. Larvacide activity is classified as toxic. There are 25 compounds found in essential oils of fresh leaves and 23 compounds in dry leaves. The compound which is a gastric poison for insects is Limonene.
Antifungal activity of essential oil from root bark of sintok wood (Cinnamomum sintoc Blume) against Pleurotus ostreatus Renhart Jemi, Nuwa, Elitha Octaviani Aip Conference Proceedings, 2019 Currently, there are an estimated 160-200 species of plants that can produce essential oils. Unfortunately, research on the composition and use of these oils is still limited. This study aims to investigate the characteristics of essential oil derived from root bark of Sintok wood (Cinnamomum sintoc Blume), its antifungal activity against the fungus Pleurotus ostreatus, and its chemical components. A kilogram of Sintok root bark collected from Hampangen Educational Forest of the University of Palangka raya was distilled within the boiled system to get its essential oil before used to test its fungal activity against P. osteratus. Data of inhibition fungus growth were analyzed for IC50 determination. The Sintok root bark essential oil was further analyzed by GC-MS to determine its chemical compound. The results show, first, the yield of essential oils from Sintok root bark is 0.16%, the acid number was 2.24, and the ester number was 19.63. Anti-fungal activity test of Sintok essential oils against P. ostreatus shows that the fungus remained alive at oil concentration of 5-30µg/mL, and the fungus died when oil concentration beteween 65-1000µg/mL. Sintok root bark essential oil has optimum anti-fungal properties at a concentration of 48.69µg/mL. Second, there are 15 chemical compounds contained in Sintok root bark essential oils, with three main compounds namely methyl eugenol (77.14%), methyl cinnamate (17.43%) and 4-Nonylphenol (1.35%).
Anti-Fungal activity of essential oil from Baeckea frutescens L against Pleuratus ostreatus Renhart Jemi, Ade Irma Barus, Nuwa, Sarinah, Gimson Luhan Aip Conference Proceedings, 2017 Ujung Atap is an herb that have distinctive odor on its leaves. The plant’s essential oil contains bioactive compounds but has not been investigated its anti-fungal activity against Pleurotus ostreatus. Essential oil from Ujung Atap leaves is one environmentally friendly natural preservative. This study consisted of distillation Ujung Atap leaves with boiled method, determining the number of acid, essential oil ester, and anti-fungal activity against Pleurotus ostreatus. Analysis of the data to calculate anti-fungal activity used probit analysis method to determine the IC50. Results for the distillation of leaves Ujung Atap produce essential oil yield of 0.071% and the average yield of the acid number and the ester of essential oils Ujung Atap leaves are 5.24 and 12.15. Anti-fungal activity Pleurotus ostreatus at a concentration of 1000 µg/mL, 100 µg/mL, 75 µg/mL, 50 µg/mL and 100 µg/mL BA defunct or fungi was declared dead, while at a concentration of 25 µg/mL, 10 µg/mL and 5 µg/mL still occur inhibitory...
