Sustainable Marketing Communications Strategies: For Promoting Environmental Responsibility in the Digital Age Archan Mitra, Ruma Roy Practices Strategies and Emerging Trends in Marketing for Global Expansion, 2026 In an era where environmental concerns are increasingly influencing consumer behavior, organizations are compelled to adopt sustainable marketing communications that reflect their commitment to environmental responsibility. This chapter examines the role of sustainable marketing communications in shaping consumer perceptions and driving eco-friendly purchasing decisions. It explores various strategies, including the use of digital platforms, storytelling, and transparency, to effectively convey sustainability initiatives and values to target audiences. The chapter also analyzes the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing sustainable marketing communications, such as avoiding greenwashing and ensuring message authenticity. By evaluating case studies and current literature, this work aims to provide insights into best practices for integrating sustainability into marketing communications, thereby fostering consumer trust and promoting environmental stewardship.
Cognitive AI for Adaptive and Resilient Urban Transportation: A Data-driven Approach to Sustainable Mobility Vishal Jain, Archan Mitra, Sanchita Paul Artificial Intelligence AI for Smart and Sustainable Urban Transportation, 2026 The increasing complexity of urban transportation networks necessitates the integration of cognitive artificial intelligence (AI) to develop adaptive, efficient, and sustainable mobility solutions. This study explores the role of Cognitive AI in real-time decision-making, traffic optimization, and resilient urban transport systems. Unlike conventional AI models, Cognitive AI employs machine learning, deep learning, and neural-symbolic reasoning to dynamically adjust to changing traffic conditions, optimize public transportation systems, and enhance sustainable mobility. The paper investigates AI-driven dynamic traffic management, leveraging multisource data from IoT sensors, GPS, CCTV, and weather systems to predict and mitigate congestion. Additionally, it examines intelligent public transport scheduling, where AI-powered predictive analytics optimize fleet allocation and passenger distribution. The research also highlights the role of cognitive AI in autonomous vehicle (AV) coordination, enabling real-time decision-making for adaptive route planning and self-learning vehicular interactions. Furthermore, the study proposes AI-enhanced predictive maintenance models, integrating blockchain-based transport data security for infrastructure resilience. A key focus is the integration of AI-driven carbon footprint tracking and smart mobility solutions, optimizing EV charging networks and green transportation alternatives to reduce urban emissions. Through an interdisciplinary approach combining big data analytics, RL, and AI-driven policy modeling, this research presents a framework for AI-augmented transport ecosystems that enhance efficiency, reduce congestion, and promote sustainability. Empirical case studies from global smart cities demonstrate the practical application of cognitive AI in urban mobility, highlighting its impact on adaptive traffic control, multimodal transport coordination, and infrastructure resilience. The findings offer a roadmap for policymakers, urban planners, and AI practitioners to deploy scalable, AI-driven transportation systems. By bridging AI cognition, IoT connectivity, and sustainable urban logistics, this study contributes to the evolving discourse on AI-powered smart cities and the future of resilient urban transportation.
Integrating Biodiversity and Circular Bioeconomy Practices for Climate Resilience in the Indian Himalayan Region Vishal Jain, Archan Mitra, Sanchita Paul Harnessing Biodiversity for A Sustainable Bioeconomy, 2026 The Indian Himalayan Region (IHR), a biodiversity hotspot, is vital for ecosystem services and local livelihoods but is increasingly threatened by climate change and unsustainable practices. This chapter explores a circular bioeconomy model to enhance climate resilience and sustainable development in the IHR. It emphasizes integrating traditional knowledge with biotechnologies like biochar, composting, and genetic resource use to build zero-waste systems. Through interdisciplinary analysis and case studies from Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh, the chapter evaluates policy frameworks and demonstrates successful biodiversity-driven initiatives. It concludes with strategic recommendations on governance, community participation, and innovation. The chapter offers a replicable model for fostering ecological regeneration and socio-economic sustainability in fragile mountain ecosystems globally.
Bridging Millennia: Digital Narratives as Custodians of Oral Heritage in India Mayuree Pal, C. P. Rashmi, Archan Mitra Local History Education for Shaping Global Citizenship, 2026 Traditional oral storytelling is in danger of becoming obsolete in the fast-digital world. Through a thorough analysis, it investigates how digital platforms improve accessibility, encourage participation from a range of audiences, and make oral histories easier to archive. The study also looks at case studies highlighting the methods and tools used to preserve Indigenous stories, folktales, and dialects through digital storytelling. This study aims to analyze how digital storytelling might assist in retrieving, disseminating, and revitalizing oral traditions. This is accomplished through a literature review, examining case studies, podcasts, and readily available videos. It discusses the difficulties in digital archiving, copyright concerns, the digital divide, and maintaining authenticity, and it offers solutions for both genuine representation and efficient preservation. Combining digital storytelling with oral traditions creates a dynamic medium for cultural expression and education, promoting better awareness and appreciation of the rich tapestry of oral histories worldwide.
