Master and specialist in Medical Parasitology, with emphasis in medical entomology (IHMT/NOVA). He is brazilian, licensed and bachelor in Biological Sciences from Anhanguera University (Brazil) and has the course recognized by the University of Porto (Portugal). He has experience in several scientific areas (entomology, molecular biology, parasitology, biotechnology, plant reproduction, genetic improvement, microscopy, microbiology, among others). He taught science and biology classes. He worked as a biologist and clinical analyst in Portugal. He worked as a research fellow at the IHMT (Institute of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene) in projects financed by the FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology) and MENTOR Initiative studying vectors of medical and veterinary importance. He is currently a researcher fellow in the MOVE2LOWC project, at ITQB (Institute of Chemical and Biological Technology António Xavier), which works on the production of biofuels.
