Dr.K.D.Balaji
Dr. K.D. Balaji is an Assistant Professor (SG) in Human Resources in the College of Management at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nādu, India, with over the experience of more than 23 years in the field of teaching. He Pursued his Ph.D. from SRM University, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nādu, India. He holds a degree in Master of Business Administration in Human Resources and Marketing from University of Madras, Chennai and a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Madras, Chennai, Tamil Nādu, India. His keen interest in research developed in his initial days of education, fulfilling his dream of publishing and presenting more than 25 research articles in his expertise domain of Human Resource. He holds a credit of conducting FDP’s and MDP’s in the areas of Management. His achievements have proven his potential and keen interest in the future of research in various areas including Training and Development, Employee Engagement, Entrepreneurship.

  • Bridging Technostress and AI Adoption in HR: A Moderated Mediation Study of Behavioural Intention and Support

    The paper delves into the implications of various forms of technostress, i.e. complexity, insecurity, uncertainty, and overload, on the usage of AI-based recruitment systems in information technology firms. It also examines the mediating and moderating factors behind the relationship (behavioral intention and organizational support respectively). The information was gathered through snowball sampling technique and 273 useful answers were obtained. The required sample size was determined using a standard sample size determination formula. SPSS and the PROCESS macro were used to conduct the analysis, and the tests involved reliability, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), descriptive statistics, mediation, and moderation analysis. The findings revealed that all the variables were reliable and were merged into seven valid factors. The results of mediation affirmed that behavioral intention is a significant predictor of the relationship between technostress and actual usage of AI systems. The moderation outcomes indicated that organizational support mitigates the adverse influence of technostress on actual usage. The study is of value to HR professionals and decision-makers. Better acceptance and utilization of AI tools can be observed in organizations where the support of the organization is enhanced and the stress of the employees related to the technology is minimized. Consequently, this may contribute to the ease of digitalization, enhanced hiring rates, and employee trust in AI-based procedures.
  • Integrating Technological, Organizational, and User factors in Predicting Implementation Success of Human Resource Information System: An Empirical Study in Indian Universities

    Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is becoming crucial for improving administrative efficiency and workforce management in higher education.However, universities in developing contexts such as India still face challenges related to weak technological infrastructure, limited organizational readiness, and low user competency.This study proposes an integrated Predictive HRIS implementation framework by combining the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) model, TAM/UTAUT, and the Resource-Based View (RBV).Data from 187 HR and administrative professionals were analyzed using PLS-SEM, supported by Importance-Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) and PLSpredict for predictive validation.Results show that technological infrastructure ( = 0.41, p < 0.001), organizational readiness ( = 0.36, p < 0.001), and user competency ( = 0.33, p < 0.01) significantly boost HRIS effective implementation, while environmental pressure ( = 0.09, p > 0.05) remains non-significant.Mediation analysis further indicates that user competency partially mediates the relationship between technological infrastructure and HRIS implementation (indirect = 0.132, direct = 0.28, p < 0.01).The model explains 62% of the variance (R = 0.62) and emphasizes strong predictive relevance (Q = 0.027-0.223).The findings advance HRIS and digital transformation research by moving from descriptive to predictive, capability-based modeling and highlight the necessity to strengthen digital infrastructure, organizational readiness, and user competency to achieve sustainable digital transformation in universities.

    This research investigates the negative impacts of low employee morale on organizations, focusing on high turnover and vacant positions. It emphasizes the need for future research to compare morale-boosting efforts with the costs of turnover and vacancies. it identifying effective intervention strategies, measuring financial and non-financial effects, and analyzing external stakeholders' influence. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design, this study will collect data from 234 employees using survey instrument. Structural equation modeling (SEM), correlation, and regression analysis will be used to analyze the data. The expected outcomes of the study will provide insights into the relationships between various factors and employee morale. These findings will help organizational leaders understand and address the different factors influencing morale, ultimately fostering employee motivation and enhancing work environments. Future research should also explore global and culture-specific morale dynamics and incorporate new trends like remote employment.
  • Cavity Backed Self-Diplexing Antenna Using SIW Method For WLAN and C-band Applications

    This paper presents the design, development, and testing of a novel cavity backed self diplexing antenna using Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) method with a plus shape, that provides self-diplexing functionality for dual-frequency communication applications.The antenna structure is designed using computer-aided design (CAD) software tool -HFSS and optimized for high performance characteristics, including gain, directivity, and radiation efficiency, at frequencies of 5.5 GHz and 6.2 GHz.The antenna's performance is simulated using a simulation software tool, and the fabricated antenna is tested using Vector Network Analyzer.The results demonstrate that the cavity backed self diplexing antenna using Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) method with a Slot of plus shape provides high performance characteristics and self-diplexing functionality for dual-frequency communication applications.The antenna's performance is evaluated based on the design specifications and requirements, and compared with other existing antenna designs to demonstrate its superiority.The proposed antenna structure offers significant potential for dual-frequency communication applications in various fields, including radar, and satellite communication.

The ML approaches allow for the analysis and recognition of patterns in big data sets and offer the required data to business management for successful decision making in various sectors such as economics, advertising, logistics, human resources, etc.ML allows the shift from physically preserved information to digitally recorded information, allows increasing memory, and aids with economic decision-making among additional things. ML additionally allows the extraction of quality signals and predicting information from the dataset and stimulates development. The utilization of ML has become an essential tool that is being utilized in the present compatible sector, and it has provided additional possibilities for business management to leverage a great deal of information.   • A study on various aspects of SMEs' orientation for corporate social responsibility

    Today, being responsible and sustainable is essential to conducting business internationally. However, small and medium-sized firms (SMEs) have received less attention from academics and policymakers than huge multinational corporations. Recent studies have highlighted the significance of learning for SMEs to engage in corporate social responsibility (CSR), but there is still a lack of knowledge regarding how SMEs learning orientation affects their CSR as well as how development affects SMEs internationalization and performance. From a practical standpoint, it is particularly crucial to shed light on these dynamics because, in the majority of nations, SMEs account for a sizable portion of enterprises in terms of both number and employment. The current study makes a contribution by demonstrating how CSR affects various performance kinds in SMEs and how SMEs learning orientation affects their CSR. By shedding light on the causes and effects of CSR for SMEs, the study adds to the body of knowledge on responsibility, sustainability, and SME internationalization. The author explored a number of CSR-related subjects in this chapter, including need, problems and challenges, ideas, obligations to employees, and the environment. And the main headlines discussed the thorough investigation of CSR for SMEs and the introduction of several social concerns and SMEs-related policies. This chapter also includes several case studies from India for reference.
