Former Member of École française de Rome, Philippe Blaudeau is a senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France, professor of Roman history at the University of Angers and member of the TEMOS laboratory - UMR 9016 CNRS. His research focuses on the history of Christianity and historiography during Late Antiquity (5th to 7th centuries). He has published Alexandrie et Constantinople (451-491). De l’histoire à la géo-ecclésiologie, Rome, 2006, 810 p. (BÉFAR 327) et Le Siège de Rome et l’Orient (448-536). Étude géo-ecclésiologique, Rome 2012 (CEF 460).Il a aussi traduit, avec F. Cassingena-Trevedy, et commenté l’ouvrage de Liberatus de Carthage, Abrégé de l’histoire des nestoriens et des eutychiens, Paris, 2019 (Sources chrétiennes 607) and more than 75 articles , more than 25 reviews, about 10 articles in specialised dictionaries
