An IoT-assisted Alzheimer’s disease patient monitoring system using adaptive deep learning models with recommendation about patient abnormality Revathi Mohan, Premkumar Borugadda, Nageswara Rao Lavuri, Sumanth Venugopal Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2026 Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized healthcare by enabling continuous and real-time monitoring of patients, particularly for chronic diseases like Alzheimer’s disease (AD). IoT-assisted monitoring systems leverage various technologies, such as sensors, wearable devices, and wireless communication, to monitor AD patients remotely. By integrating sensors such as electroencephalogram (EEG) monitors, Global Positioning System (GPS) trackers, and motion sensors, IoT systems can collect real-time data on the patient’s behavior, health status, and location. This data is then transmitted to caregivers or medical professionals through cloud platforms, allowing them to monitor the patient’s condition from a distance, assess cognitive functioning, and intervene when necessary. In this paper, an efficient AD patient monitoring system is introduced with deep learning. At first, the required EEG signals are gathered from benchmark resources, and then, wave and spectral features are extracted. The extracted features are then subjected to the Adaptive Dilated Gated Recurrent Unit (ADiGRU) for detecting Alzheimer patients. Here, the detection process is improved by optimizing the GRU’s parameters using the Refined Alpha Value-based Dark Forest Algorithm (RAV-DFA). If the patient is detected with AD, then the patient is monitored by CCTV. Subsequently, from the surveillance monitored videos, the patient’s abnormality is predicted by 3D Adaptive Residual Attention DenseNet (3DARADNet) and its parameters are tuned by RAV-DFA. If the abnormality is detected from the videos, then the recommendations are given to the concerned persons using Adaptive Generative Long Short-Term Memory (AGen-LSTM). For improving the performance of this phase also, the RAV-DFA is used, where the parameters of Gen-LSTM are fine-tuned. Thus, an effective AD patient monitoring system is implemented, and finally, the performance of this developed system is determined and contrasted with other related models for ensuring its supremacy.
A Secure Authentication and Task Offloading Model Using Blockchain-Assisted Hybrid Serial Learning in Multiaccess Edge Computing for Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks Sector Jafar A. Alzubi, Nageswara Rao Lavuri, Krishna Dharavath, Nagarjuna Nallameti, Sumanth Venugopal, Preethi Palanisamy International Journal of Communication Systems, 2026 The intelligent transportation system (ITS) is enabled by the vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), but the security threats, such as node impersonation, node tampering, and eavesdropping, are the greatest challenges and cause security concerns within the system. The large‐scale vehicular environment is not effectively handled by the previous static and centralized security approaches, which can greatly increase the latency and data integrity problems within the network. Thus, this research proposes a deep learning–assisted blockchain approach for enabling the decentralized, reliable, and secure communication in the VANET. The main contribution of the research is to perform secure authentication and task offloading to enable secure task offloading within the VANET and to guarantee communication performance with minimum energy consumption and delays. First, the data confidentiality, privacy of the task offloading, authentication, and integrity are achieved by introducing blockchain technology. Second, the node authentication is performed using adaptive and attention‐based hybrid serial learning (AAHSL), which is developed with the combination of a deep belief network (DBN) and temporal convolution network (TCN). After authenticating the data within the nodes, the adaptive deep reinforcement learning (ADRL)–based task offloading is proposed for reducing the task completion time within the network. In both models, the parameters are tuned using the pattern improvement parameter–based poor and rich optimization algorithm (PIP‐PROA). The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach achieves an FNR of about 3.46% during the authentication process, and the reward score achieved by the designed model during the task offloading process is 9.22. Thus, the effectiveness of the suggested model is confirmed by the experimental analysis.
Dual attention-based deep learning with blockchain for multimedia data processing and secure access control in IoHT G. Karthik Reddy, Nageswara Rao Lavuri, Shabana Urooj, Krishna Dharavath, Nidal Nasser, Yogapriya J Scientific Reports, 2025 The Internet of Medical Things represents an interconnected medical technology that comprises mobile applications, medical services, as well as networks. These medical equipment and software are connected to medical systems across an internet connection. Security and confidentiality of healthcare information, flexibility, and data availability are the most complicated IoT problems to tackle. The utilization of multimedia in medical systems permits the collection, processing, and delivery of clinical data in many different types of styles, comprising texts, images, and speech, throughout the web via different effective components. Yet, processing huge quantities of information, such as every individual's findings and images, demands additional human labour and represents safety risks. The fundamental architecture characteristics of blockchain systems including robust data encryption and strong peer-to-peer systems are beneficial and affordable options for addressing a few of these demands. Similarly, Blockchain-aided devices are effective in the field of medical science, due to their resource distribution and verification processes that enable access to information. Current investigations struggle to understand the rising need for enhanced data integration over distinct clinical services and platforms, which results in the evolution of application-centric approaches to patient-centric applications. Therefore, this work presented the efficient multimedia data processing in Internet of Healthcare Things (IoHT) based on Blockchain technology. For the improvement of healthcare resource distribution and to avoid the risk in IoHT, efficient blockchain technology is initiated to manage the security control in a real-time system. Further, the access control is managed by developing the advanced model called Dual Attention-based Deep Bayesian Network (DA-DBN). The developed system provides the secured framework for the multimedia content in IoHT using blockchain technology and DA-DBN by generating a hash of each data. This process helps in determining the changes or alterations in the blockchain. Finally, the performance of the proposed scheme concerning the blockchain is validated against the conventional approach. The result demonstrates the potential of the proposed system in securing the IoHT-based health management. The outcomes reveal that the proposed DA-DBN achieved 23.88% faster access control than SVM leading to improved efficiency and enhanced security. Therefore, the proposed model is well suited for multimedia data processing and secure access to the IoHT applications.

MIMO Antennas for Smart 5G Devices Using UWB Technology G Karthik Reddy, Nageswara Rao Lavuri, T. Sai Venkateswara Rao 4th Wireless Antenna and Microwave Symposium Wams 2025, 2025 A novel Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna is proposed for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications. The designed MIMO structure consists of two simple square monopole antennas integrated with a slotted ground plane. The antenna achieves an impedance bandwidth ranging from 2.8 GHz to 10.8 GHz, with an isolation level better than −30 dB. To mitigate interference with WiMAX applications, a notched band is introduced between 3.3 GHz and 3.8 GHz using U-shaped and L-shaped slots. Additionally, to enhance isolation between the monopole antennas, two distinct parasitic structures are positioned at the bottom of the substrate. The proposed MIMO antenna, with compact dimensions of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$25 \times 38 ~\text{mm}^{2}$</tex>, has been fabricated and tested. Both simulation and experimental results confirm that the proposed design performs efficiently for UWB applications with band-notch functionality, making it a suitable candidate for modern wireless communication systems.
