Fractional calculus applications in deep learning architectures Chandrakant Deelip Kokane, Anjali S. More, Harsha Jitendra Sarode, Mandar K. Mokashi, Sonali Prashant Bhoite, Mahesh Ashok Bhandari Journal of Interdisciplinary Mathematics, 2026 The study investigates the application of the concept of the addition of a deep learning system to fractional calculus (FC) in order to accelerate and generalize the learning process. We propose a different form of neural network FGNN, Fractional Gradient Neural Network. In this network, the derivatives of fractional order are the gradient dynamics in control resulting in the optimisation being more fluid and the extraction of features being improved. The approach is a hybrid between the ease of use and memory capabilities of FC and the adaptation and data-driven capabilities of DL. The picture and signaling datasets experimental results indicate that these networks are more precise, more robust and less prone to overfitting as compared to standard networks. These findings indicate that FC is an excellent mathematical foundation to make next-generation deep learning models improved.
SUSTAINABLE PRINT MANAGEMENT VIA DATA-DRIVEN APPROACHES Nitin Dhawas, Reshma Sonar, Mahesh Ashok Bhandari, Shalini Wankhade, Kalyani Ghuge, Ganesh Chandrabhan Shelke, Chandrakant Kokane Shodhkosh Journal of Visual and Performing Arts, 2026 Sustainable print management has become an issue of paramount importance in respect to organizations that want to mitigate the effects they have on the environment whilst still being able to operate efficiently. The conventional print management systems tend to be based on fixed set of rules and manual controls hence resulting in wastage of paper, energy and unchecked waste. The research is a proposed comprehensive data-oriented system of sustainable print management, which combines data analytics, predictive modeling, and optimization methods in order to allow intelligent, adaptative, and resource-efficient printing environments. The suggested solution will take advantage of past print logs, device level energy logs, and patterns of user behavior to predict print demand, uncover inefficiencies, and make informed decisions. Predictive models are also used to forecast print volumes in future and possible waste in order to allow proactive measures to be taken like job consolidation, duplex enforcement and digital alternatives. The optimization algorithms also contribute to sustainability by dynamically assigning the print jobs to devices which consume less energy and scheduling workloads to reduce maximum consumption of energy. Moreover, user-friendly analytics is also integrated in order to gain an insight into the printing activity and implement nudging technologies that promote responsible printing without interfering with productivity. The experimental results show that there are quantifiable decreases in the amount of paper, energy use, and print-related emissions in comparison with the traditional systems and serviceable levels are attained. The results show the possibility of the data-driven strategies to make print management more of a proactive sustainability contributor as opposed to an operational reactive mechanism.
Analyzing Sleep Quality through Digital Data Insights and Soft Computing Methods for Enhanced Evaluation Gourav Sood, S Varalakshmi, Bhandari Mahesh Ashok, S. Ram Prasath, Preetjot Singh, S Srividhya 2025 IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Applications Mpsec Iceta 2025, 2025 The primary objective of the research is to evaluate the quantity of sleep by using actigraphy along with information generated from various devices. It defines typical sleep quality measurement instruments, such as survey forms, and discusses their benefits and downsides. Using soft computing methods and data acquired by commercialized smartwatches, this study starts by developing a novel way for measuring the quality of sleep without self-answered assessments. We offer three new sleep indices: SleepQualD for daily sleep quality, SleepQualWeek for weekly sleep quality, and SleepCons for consistency in sleep. These markers are generated from sleep characteristics measured by clinical actigraph devices and smartwatches, which provide a far more precise evaluation. Additionally, the purpose of this chapter is to comprehend the role of physical exercise and technological usage in assessing the quality of sleep. Additionally, the article discusses CNN and MLP, two deep learning and supervised machine learning methods, that were used to build the model that could predict the quality of sleep based on these variables. The results also back up the claim that wearable electronics and ML methods are crucial for improving the accuracy rate of CNN models and making objective predictions about sleep quality.
VTON-IT: Enhancing Virtual Try-Ons with YOLOv11 for Real-Time Fashion Visualization Samrudhi Moharir, Chudaman Sukte, Pravin Futane, Manohar Kodmelwar, Mahesh Bhandari, Amol Suryawanshi International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology Icetet, 2025 This new design includes deep learning that eventually solves the major challenges of body occlusion, body transformations, and deformation of clothes in virtual simulation systems. It employs a multiple technology combination, such as CNN, YOLOv11 on image segmentation, edge detection, and bone feature extraction, so as to provide an extremely accurate and specific virtual experience for testing purposes. And, to make the clothing wear visible on a wide range of body types, this system relies on YOLOv11 to generate the intersection of garment and body. Further, advanced algorithms are used to tailor-fit the garment to the individual's body type so that the garment will remain beautiful and would not lose its focus on details. Reduce demand for the physical equipment that would improve the online experience to both customers and retailers. It enhances the skeleton-based feature extraction, thereby improving the fit of virtual clothing on many different types of bodies without sacrificing style. There is also detection of important body lines to further sharpen clothing boundaries and significantly increase the accuracy of virtual testing of digital clothing designs. This invention of blurring the digital-physical lines of marketing changes the landscape of the fashion business.
Automatic Identification of Medicinal Plants with Transfer Learning Mayuri Phad, Vasundhara Gadakh, Sakshi Dhere, Kaivallya Titame, Mahesh Bhandari, Kishor Pathak Proceedings International Conference on Next Generation Communication and Information Processing Incip 2025, 2025 Medicinal plants are widely recognized for their medicinal properties, so accurate identification is very important for scientists, pharmacists and people. This work presents a transfer learning-based solution to identifying medicinal plants using MobileNetV2 architecture. Transfer learning can effectively classify plant species using pre- trained models through optimization of plant data. The system is designed to take user input images, process images from the MobileN etV2 model, and predict vegetation with high accuracy. After categorization, the system integrates the Google Custom Search API to provide useful information to users, including the top three web sites describing the use of medicinal herbs. This article describes the architecture, processes, and procedures involved in developing Web applications. Our method simplifies the plant identification process using adaptive learning, thereby reducing training time and computational resources while increasing classification accuracy. The solution is designed to support veterinarians, teachers, and assistants in quickly identifying medicinal plants and understanding their uses, thus improving the overall understanding of phytotherapy.
A web application for emmission reduction in coal mining Vedant Kulkarni, Sarthak Pawar, Suraj Aher, Sneha Barwal, Mahesh Bhandari, Yogesh Deshpande, Pawan Wawage 1st International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies and Computational Intelligence Towards Sustainable Energy Transition Setcom 2025, 2025 This research presents a novel system, called as EcoMineInsight, designed to calculate the carbon footprint of coal mining operations in India and recommend effective remedial measures using machine learning (ML) models. The system integrates multiple carbon footprint calculators to evaluate the environmental impact of coal mining activities, providing users with a comprehensive assessment of their carbon emissions. By leveraging data and advanced ML algorithms, the system analyzes the results and offers personalized recommendations to reduce emissions based on operational practices and technological improvements. This approach not only enhances the accuracy of carbon footprint calculations but also enables actionable insights for emission reduction strategies tailored to the specific needs of Indian coal mines. The research aims to provide an accessible, data-driven tool that supports the transition toward more sustainable mining operations, aligning with global efforts to mitigate climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the mining industry.
