Journal of Discrete Mathematical Sciences and Cryptography, 2026
Networked communication systems are necessary for making sure that important data is shared quickly in real-time settings. But these systems are facing more and more problems from time-sensitive security risks that can damage data accuracy, privacy, and the speed of operations. This paper looks into what these threats are and how they affect systems that communicate over networks. We look at different time-sensitive situations, like emergency response systems, real-time health tracking, and self-driving cars, to see how hacks that target the timing and synchronization of communication protocols can cause major problems. While pointing out flaws in current systems, we also suggest ways to fix them by using advanced cryptography, attack detection systems, and adaptable security procedures. Our results make it clear that real-time communication systems need strong, time-sensitive security methods to protect their stability and usefulness against new cyber risks.
  • Climate change policy: EU and ASEAN perspective-road ahead
Varun Pathak, Shashikala Gurpur, Aparajita Mohanty
Rule of Law in Context Globalisation and Indian Resonances to Sustainable Development, 2025
The ASEAN region’s vulnerability to climate change is amplified by its tropical climate and erratic weather patterns. This makes it more susceptible to the adverse effects of environmental shifts, requiring a proactive approach to address these challenges. In December 2020, the EU and ASEAN formed a partnership to prioritise climate change policies as a crucial focus area of their collaboration. This article aims to comprehend and analyse the challenges confronted by ASEAN nations in addressing climate change, while examining the support provided by the EU in identifying these issues. As the primary advocate for the ASEAN region, the EU actively supports various programs dedicated to climate change management. The researchers elucidate the primary reasons and obstacles hindering the implementation of climate change policies in the region. The synergy between ASEAN countries and the European Union plays a crucial role in advancing climate change initiatives within the region.

Product liability as a legal postulation provides for the accountability of any and all parties involved in the chain of manufacturing for placing a defective product into the hands of a consumer. The product liability regime is not just a necessary policy instrument in light of domestic socio-economic goals and objectives but also derives international importance through targeting a host of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals adopted under the 2030 Agenda, ensuring Good Health and Wellbeing (SDG 3), growth of Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and Partnership for the Goals (SDG 17). In the European Union, such claims are governed by the Product Liability Directive 85/374/EEC which pioneered a strict liability regime, without being subject to any major amendments since its inception. The authors therefore seek to analyse the same in a two-pronged manner. Firstly, the Directive lays down only substantive laws and rules. The procedural aspect of any claim is at the discretion of the individual States. Consequently, the cross-border claims are subject to different legislations, specifically the Rome II Regulation (EC) 864/2007 and the Brussels I-bis Regulation (EU) 1215/2012. The coherency of these legislations with the Directive will therefore be analysed. Secondly, the definition of “product” in the directive does not explicitly mention digital products or software. The applicability of the Directive on these intangible products will be examined with respect to the different aspects of the Directive such as liability, defences available and damages recoverable. Thousands of kilometres away, the introduction of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 sees India embarking on a venture to develop its product liability regime which is still in its nascent stage. A comparative analysis between the two regimes illustrates that the Indian regime lacks specificity to deal with complex consumer transactions and products. The authors will dwell extensively into these issues and would provide specific recommendations to improve the existing regime in Europe, and chart out a template for the Indian regime.
  • Optimizing Cloud Computing Performance using Adaptive and Evolutionary Algorithms for Large Scale Applications

4th IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing and Electrical Circuits and Electronics Icdcece 2025, 2025
An increasing number of applications are straining cloud computing structures which require novel optimization strategies to boost performance measurements as well as resource utilization. The research methodology incorporates adaptive algorithms together with evolutionary algorithms which provide real-time workload adaptation and distributed system resource optimization. The project implemented machine learning models which predicted resource needs to trigger automatic parameter modification for computing systems. The three major cloud platforms provided results which showed a 37.8% decrease in response latency and a 42.3% lower resource wastage rate and a 29.5% enhanced throughput capacity than static allocation techniques. The cost efficiency rose 31.7% while service reliability maintained 99.4% during the period. A proposed adaptable-evolutionary framework provides an effective solution that leads to improved performance measurements of large-scale cloud programs while reducing operational expenses for transitioning between dynamic computing settings.

  • Artificial intelligence: A new tool to protect human rights or an instrument to subdue society by the state

Balancing Human Rights Social Responsibility and Digital Ethics, 2024
With each technological revolution, mankind experiences a shift in the pace of history, leading to the emergence of a new age that fundamentally redefines human beliefs. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a technological subject that is causing a profound shift in human society towards a state characterised by robots and machines. AI encompasses several technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, big data analytics, algorithms, and other related fields. Nevertheless, as human intelligence is marked by inherent bias in decision-making, AI products that rely on human-generated intelligence also display similar characteristics. The existence of bias and discrimination poses a threat to universal human rights, since these phenomena are deeply embedded in social institutions and have many technological origins. Indeed, because of its facilitation of prejudice, AI disproportionately affects the human rights of marginalized individuals and communities, hence giving birth to a new type of oppression rooted in technology.

Improving agricultural weed control practices is essential for sustaining crop yields while decreasing negative effects on the environment. This paper presents a thorough method for detecting and eliminating weeds by integrating Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. Utilizing image analysis methods, our system effectively utilizes CNN to detect and categorize weeds in real-time. The CNN model achieves consistently high accuracy and reliability in weed identification by using a diversified dataset for training and validation. Further, the IoT allows sensors, actuators, and the CNN model to communicate and collaborate seamlessly, allowing for targeted weed eradication techniques that are both timely and efficient. Improved weed control methods and less dependence on chemical pesticides are two outcomes of this integrated framework’s efforts to foster sustainability. The technique has the potential to completely transform weed control in contemporary agriculture, as shown by the experimental findings, which attest to its practicality and effectiveness. A smart weed identification and sustainable eradication approach is proposed in this study, which might lead to increased agricultural yields while also protecting the environment.
