Puput Dani Prasetyo Adi received the Bachelor Degree in Informatic Engineering (S. Kom) from STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta in 2008, now, Universitas Teknologi Digital Indonesia (UTDI), Indonesia, Magister Engineering Degree (M.T) from Hasannudin University Makassar Indonesia in 2011., and Ph.D. degrees ( from Kanazawa University, Japan, in 2020, he joined in Micro Electronics Laboratory (MeRL), Kanazawa University, Japan with Professor Akio Kitagawa, 2018-2020. In 2020, He is a Winners of Dean's Award Kanazawa University, Japan. Also in 2020, he received The Best Paper IEEE Conferences ICITACEE 2020 with the title paper 'Finger Robotic control use M5Stack board and MQTT Protocol based, currently, he is a Lecturer in University of Merdeka Malang East Java Indonesia, at Department of Electrical Engineering.     The widespread application of deep learning (DL) stems from its ability to generalize across domains with minimal human intervention. However, despite its advantages, DL models remain unsuitable for deployment in critical systems such as autonomous vehicles, traffic control, and smart infrastructure unless their adversarial vulnerabilities are addressed. This paper presents a comprehensive review of defense strategies against adversarial attacks in DL. We classify adversarial threats and their countermeasures into four primary categories: adversarial training, detection-based defenses, model regularization, and certified provable defenses. The review focuses on recent advancements in adversarial example mitigation, especially methods relying on adversarial training. We also examine key challenges, including the interpretability of defense outcomes, limitations in real-time detection, and issues related to data imbalance. Finally, we summarize open problems in the field and outline promising directions for future research. The paper is organized to include a taxonomy of adversarial attacks, a structured survey of existing techniques, and a synthesis of insights with practical implications.
  • Multi-Criteria Using Dijkstra’s Algorithm to Determine Optimal Time Paths in Vehicle Route Optimization

    This research is the development of a Road Traffic Network using one of the methods in Mathematics, namely Dijkstra's Algorithm, Weighted Sum Method (WSM), and Weighted Product Method (WPM). Meanwhile, the parameters used are route, volume, capacity, DOS, distance, and travel time. The objective of this research is to find the fastest route alternative from one place to another. The recommended results using Dijkstra's algorithm combine values of distance, travel time, and congestion degree with the weighted-sum and weighted-product methods, each calculated accordingly. The shortest route is 1→2→4→7→10→14, the route with the least congestion and shortest travel time is 1→2→5→6→9→13→14. This research combines these three parameters to obtain a balanced route between congestion level, short travel distance, and short travel time for the driver. By combining these parameters, the best route from this study is route 1: 1→2→5→8→12→11→14 with a total distance of 28.77 km, a saturation degree value of 5.421, and a travel time of 28 minutes. Thus, the research results indicate that the best route will have a combination of multiple criteria, such as short distance, short travel time, and less congestion simultaneously. The Weighted-Sum Method (WSM) and Weighted-Product Method (WPM) can produce different outputs, with WPM being superior to WSM in terms of computational steps.
  • The potential contribution of Indonesian fishing vessels in reducing Green House gas emission

    In common practices, fishing vessels' Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission is a part of the energy sector. Annual series data show Indonesian fishing vessels are growing by more than 18,000 units/year, dominated by fishing vessels with a tonnage of less than 30 GT. A ′bottom-up' approach was applied to develop low-carbon fishing activity practices to contribute to GHG emission reduction. This study focuses on a GHG inventory of fishing vessels managed by local and central Governments, using data from fishing permits and vessel monitoring systems from 2010 to 2018. The result is expected to act as the baseline for estimating emissions of fishing vessels up to 2030. The model predicted it could be reduced in 2030 by up to 6.43 E+07 tons CO2eq (68%) for fishing vessels with a size of less than 30 GT and up to 5.80E+06 tons CO2eq (84.5%) for a larger size of fishing vessels, respectively. To achieve further mitigation targets, mixing diesel oil using 30% biodiesel should be implemented progressively by 10% annually from 2021. Concerning fisher welfare after 2015, it shows a positive trend along with energy efficiency, and it can be concluded that strategies to improve the energy efficiency of active fishing vessels should be considered urgent.
  • SRCNN-based image transmission for autonomous vehicles in limited network areas

    <span>High-quality images are crucial for navigation, obstacle detection, and environmental understanding, but transmitting high-resolution images over constrained networks presents significant challenges. This study introduces an image transmission system using super-resolution convolutional neural networks (SRCNN) to enhance image quality without increasing bandwidth requirements by transmitting low-resolution images and upscaling them with SRCNN. The first phase of the research involved data collection, in which information was acquired directly from an appropriate locus to produce training, validation, and testing datasets. The second, three SRCNN models (915, 935, and 955) were trained using such a training dataset. The last was an evaluation, in which model 915 showed quick learning and stable performance with initial high loss, while model 935 had rapid convergence but potential overfitting. Model 955 achieved high initial performance. Three SRCNN model configurations were tailored to the specific needs of autonomous electric vehicles operating in limited areas, such as the locus. Input image resolution ranged from 128×128 pixels to 256×256 pixels, while output resolution varied from 256×256 pixels to 512×512 pixels. These resolutions can be acceptable for efficient image transmission over IEEE 802.11ac, but on the long range (LoRa) network, it still produces some delay.</span>
  • Beyond Polarization: A Machine Learning Analysis of the Predominantly Neutral Public Sentiment Towards Smart City

    With the rapid growth of smart city initiatives around the world, understanding public perception has become crucial to their successful implementation. Social media, particularly X (Twitter), has become the main platform for the public to voice their opinions. This study aims to analyse public sentiment towards the discourse of ‘Smart City’ by conducting a benchmarking study of five machine learning models. Using a dataset of 765 tweets collected through web scraping, we evaluated the performance of Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, Random Forest, Stochastic Gradient Descent, and Naive Bayes models. The results of the experiment show that the Logistic Regression model achieved the highest validation accuracy of 85.14%, making it the most reliable classifier for this case study. Further sentiment analysis reveals that public opinion is dominated by Neutral sentiment (66%), followed by Positive (27%) and Negative (8%) sentiment. These findings not only provide a robust methodological comparison for sentiment analysis on social media data, but also present valuable data-driven insights into public attitudes towards urban technological transformation. These insights can be important input for policymakers and city planners in designing more inclusive and responsive smart city development strategies.
  • Perceived Value, Trust, and User Experience in Driving Digital Payment QRIS Adoption: Evidence from MSMEs in Malang

    The Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) is a pivotal digital payment solution for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, accelerating the shift from cash to non-cash transactions. Despite its increasing use, QRIS adoption among MSMEs still faces considerable challenges related to perceived value and user trust. Furthermore, the specific role of user experience as a mediating factor in this context has not been thoroughly examined. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived value and trust on the decision to adopt QRIS, investigating the mediating role of user experience among customers of an MSME in Malang. This research employed a quantitative approach, collecting data from 100 respondents at the ‘Penikmat Senja Kopi’ MSME in Malang using a non-probability sampling technique. The data was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that perceived value has a significant positive impact on both user experience and the decision to use. While trust significantly influences user experience, it does not have a direct significant effect on the usage decision. User experience was confirmed to be an essential mediator, strengthening the relationship between perceived value, trust, and the decision to adopt QRIS. User experience is a key intermediary that connects initial perceptions of value and trust with the final decision to adopt QRIS. This study contributes to technology adoption models and suggests that to enhance QRIS adoption, service providers and MSMEs should focus on strategies that improve service value and ensure a positive, seamless transaction experience.
  • Improvement of Direct-Sequence Spread Spectrum for LPWAN Satellite Communication

    Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) satellite communication has an emergency feature that offers hope for future IoT communication systems,as it is certain to avoid problems and obstacles or barriers that occur,such as obstacles and limited distance in terrestrial-based LPWAN telecommunications. Resilience in the transmission process is determined by signal strength over a wide bandwidth,little interference that causes signal attenuation,and also allows communication using batteries and small transmission power,as well as superior security systems that can face the challenges of very long distances and also overcome high signal attenuation. As well as a communication system that can be effectively used in the process of transmitting data in active conditions,with a low signal-noise ratio (SNR) indicator and a Receive Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) that remains stable. So,using DSSS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) in the future will have a significant impact on the attenuation of the signal that occurs. From the results of the method comparison,Processing Gain (dB) using Traditional DSSS is 21 dB,while using DSSS Improvement for LPWAN can increase to $\mathbf{2 1 ~ d B}$.

  • Phase Laser Ranging Radar Based on IoT Communication

    This paper introduces and implements an Internet of Things (IoT) system that seamlessly integrates UDP protocol communication with multi-scale phase laser radar technology. At its core, the system employs an FPGA to tackle the challenges of high-speed laser signal acquisition and realtime processing. To overcome the bottleneck associated with rapid laser ranging, an innovative multi-scale phase ranging algorithm based on dual-frequency modulation <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$(150 \text{MHz}$</tex> and 0.5 MHz) has been devised, achieving a ranging precision of 0.01 meters over a distance of 0 to 300 meters, with efficient processing realized through FPGA-based hardware filters and phase-locked loops (PLL). The system leverages the low-latency nature of the UDP protocol to establish a robust transmission architecture comprising a high-speed Ethernet MAC, UDP communication core, data buffer FIFO, and interface logic, thereby ensuring stable communication between the FPGA and the host computer. To further expand its application scenarios, a host computer platform has been developed in Python. Experimental results demonstrate that the system excels in target detection, real-time monitoring, and high-precision ranging, while consuming a modest amount of hardware resources-only 20 DSP units, 2132 LUTs, 2408 registers, and 7 block memories. This work offers a novel solution for the integration of precise LiDAR imaging with the Internet of Things, and future research will focus on incorporating intelligent algorithms to further enhance system robustness in complex scenarios.
  • Performance Evaluation of CubeSat Nanosatellite using LoRa in Low Earth Orbit

    LoRa Communication Systems face significant challenges in maintaining Quality of Services (QoS) when LoRaWAN networks must use Nano Cube Satellites that have limited resources and operate in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). This is due to dynamic link conditions, the occurrence of Doppler effects, and also power limitations. This research conducts a specific evaluation of the Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) network operating robustly. And systematically this research analyzes the relationship between satellite elevation angles and measurements of Receive Signal Strength (RSSI) indicators, Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), and Packet Error Rate (PER). And also combine the math model for Lik Budget calculation and Orbit propagation. The results of the simulation show RSSI values of $\mathbf{- 1 0 5 ~ d B m}$, SNR of $\mathbf{+ 8 ~ d B}$, and PER of $\mathbf{0. 5 \%}$. These represent critical reference points for reliable data transmission and reception. The findings also provide quantitative guidance for CubeSat constellation design as well as ground station planning that enables LoRa networks to work efficiently.
