Two Zn(ii) complexes with 1-((2-pyridylmethyl)iminomethyl)-2-naphthol ligand show sensitive response to nitroaromatic explosives through luminescence quenching effects. The phenomenon was studied through time-dependent fluorescence technique.

Two N-(2-(hydroxy)-3-methoxybenzylidene)tryptophan coordinated Ni(ii) complexes have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Magnetic analysis reveals antiferromagnetic behaviour for both the compounds.

Two novel mixed valence di/tri nuclear CoII–CoIII complexes were synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Magnetic studies at low temperature revealed that both complexes show slow magnetic relaxation.
