    In this research, an advanced deep learning model is proposed to segment and classify skin diseases. The skin images required for classification purposes are collected from public databases. Skin lesion segmentation is initially performed over collected images using Multi-head Attention-based MobileUNet, which helps locate lesions in dermoscopic images. The segmented images are fed to the feature extraction stage to get more representative features from the images to improve the classification performance. Features like texture, shape, and colour are extracted in this stage. The extracted features are given to the Adaptive Deep Capsule Network to classify the images. The segmented images are directly given to the Adaptive MobileNet to provide classification results. The final decision is made by averaging the classified outcome using the Adaptive Hybrid Network. The performance of classification is further enhanced by tuning the parameters from DCNet and MNet using the Enhanced Secretary Bird Optimisation. The performance validation finally shows the accurate performance in the skin disease classification model.
  • Spilled Deep Capsule Neural Network with Skill Optimization Algorithm for Breast Cancer Recognition in Mammograms

    Breast cancer stands as the main reason for cancer deaths among women worldwide so early detection plays an essential role in raising both survival statistics and treatment effectiveness. The common breast cancer screening method known as mammography leads radiologists to struggle when evaluating mammograms because they often make incorrect diagnoses that result in delayed medical procedures. Standard assessment techniques experience difficulties in identifying faint abnormalities which causes both incorrect positive and negative results. The proposed research implements a new methodology that utilizes MIAS dataset to detect breast cancer. The Adaptive Morphological Wavelet Perona-Malik Filter Algorithm operates on mammogram images for preprocessing to optimize quality and save vital image characteristics. A Spilled Deep Capsule Neural Network function (SDCN) utilizes the network for effective mammographic image detection and feature extraction. The Skill Optimization Algorithm (SOA) serves as a parameter optimization tool which boosts both accuracy and efficiency of the model. The developed method succeeded in reaching 99.9% accuracy while surpassing previous standard examination methods. The research demonstrates how advanced deep learning and optimization algorithms support radiologists by detecting breast cancer properly and expeditiously which creates better patient healthcare outcomes.

    Educational Data Mining (EDM) refers to the field that focuses on using various statistical methods and data mining techniques to draw inferences from large amount of educational data set. Over the years it has been used for student performance prediction by applying various machine learning processes and more recently deep learning. As a result of the lockdown announced after the spread of Covid-19, many colleges were forced to adapt to online learning tools. In this paper, we identify and evaluate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and its subsequent fallout in predicting student's academic performance. For this, a data set of various undergraduate students was compiled from March 2021. A Likert-type questionnaire was administered and large number of responses were gathered from various primary and secondary resources. This was subsequently used to validate the proposed methodology. Furthermore, different classification algorithms were used to predict the performance of the student and subsequently compared with one another based on their accuracy. The results show that the excessive use of e- learning tools including smartphones, laptops and tablets have a significant impact on student's academic performance as well as on their psychological health. The work will help us to better understand the impact of the lockdown on student's scholastic performance and point out areas where online-learning methods can be improved. © 2022 Author(s).
  • A Neural Network Architecture for Spatiotemporal PM2.5 Forecasting

    PM2.5 concentrations have been increasing at an alarming rate, making it critical to precisely estimate their regional and temporal distributions. The task is complicated by the non-linear property of PM2.5 and the large number of geological and climatic elements that influence PM2.5 concentrations, as well as the difficulty inherent in modelling their varying spatiotemporal association. Conventional physical and statistical forecasting techniques fail at incorporating several variables and discovering intricate correlations, essential for reliable predictions. This paper proposes a graph neural network capable of modelling PM2.5 concentrations on real-world data by leveraging PM2.5 transport, domain knowledge and considering spatial correlation, by reworking PM2.5 historical data, meteorological and weather forecast data into graph data and employing graph isomorphism networks, similar to the Weisfeiler Lehman graph isomorphism test for powerful graph representation learning, an attention mechanism, and a dedicated recurrent neural network to model temporal distributions, to provide accurate forecasting.
