Adsorption of remove methyl green dye from wastewater by using fava bean peel waste: Kinetic and thermodynamic studies Ali A. T. Al-Sadoon, Mustafa R. Mohammed, Mohammed S. M. Al-Tameemi Aip Conference Proceedings, 2023 Adsorption of Methyl Green dye using Fava Bean Peel Waste was investigated in detail by conducting batch kinetic, thermodynamic and desorption experiments. Experimental data found appear that adsorption method was highly dependent on equilibrium time, adsorbent amount, and initial concentration of dye and pH solution. The sorption equilibrium for Methyl Green dye via Fava Bean Peel Waste was reached within 30 minutes and removal percentage of up to 82%. The result appear isotherm Freundlich gave the better fit comparative with Langmuir isotherm., Thermodynamic quantities including Gibbs free energy, enthalpy, entropy was evaluated, the negative values for each (ΔG° and ΔH°) obtained indicated the spontaneous and exothermic process and negative value of ΔS° is indicate decreased randomness during the process of adsorption.
Inhibition Effects of Lisinopril and Quinapril on the Activity of Carbonic Anhydrase: in Vitro and Molecular Docking Studies Mohammed i Al-Tameem Egyptian Journal of Chemistry, 2022 α-Carbonic anhydrase family (α-CAs) exist in different body tissues and have an essential function in the physiology of cells. In this study, the possible inhibitory effects of Lisinopril and quinapril had investigated on the activities of CA I and II. CA I and II were purified from human erythrocytes using an affinity gel chromatography column (sepharose 4B-tyrosine –sulfanilamide). The purity of isozymes was analyzed using sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE).The esterase activity was determined spectrophotometrically at 348 nm using 4-nitrophenyl acetate as a substrate. The half concentration of inhibition (IC50) values had calculated from graphs from the relation between the %Activity and the concentration of drugs at micromolar (µM), also, Calculated the inhibition constant (Ki) and inhibition types via Lineweaver-Burk plots. Finally, Drugs were docked into proteins (CA I and II) using molecular operating environment software (MOE). Lisinopril showed better inhibition values (IC50 and Ki) against the CA I and II than quinapril. The results of this study may be significant in the drug development field for treating disorders related to abnormal activities of these isozymes.
Study the Ability of Saccharomyces cerevisiae to Remove Methyl Green Dye from Water as a Pollutant Agent Mohammed S. M. Al-Tameemi, Mustafa R. Mohammed, Ali A. T. Al-Sadoon Journal of Chemical Health Risks, 2022 Biosorption ability of commercial dried Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Baker’s yeast), to remove the Methyl green dye from water, was studied. This dye was chosen due to wide using of it in the different industries which is dumped into wastewater. With a view to explore the optimum conditions for adsorption of dye, Batch experiments were performed under various experimental affecting conditions, which are dye concentration, temperature, contact time. The experiment's batches were held using various initial concentrations of dye from 10 to 50 mg L-1, absorbent (Baker's yeast) dosage 0.075g at diverse temperatures (20, 30 and 40°C), and pH=7. In which the results have shown when the temperature increased the adsorption efficiency increased too. The removal percentage (%R) of dye by the baker’s yeast reached equilibrium after 80 minutes. As well as, adsorption isotherm models (Freundlich and Langmuir) were studied. The maximum biosorption capacity values were calculated at mentioned conditions. Furthermore, Kinetic and Thermodynamic parameters were calculated for this adsorption process, which are indicating the process is endothermic, spontaneous process in nature and follow pseudo 2. Order model.
