"I have a Ph.D. from Kashmir University on "Religion in the perspective of clash and dialogue theories".The thesis discusses the return of Islam in politics, which is perceived as a ‘Great Threat’ by western academia. It also deliberates the startling theory of the 'clash of civilizations' which was the first representation of Islam in the post-cold war world based on clash theory. It saw Islam as a threat to international stability.
