An Empirical Study of the Constituent Factors of Player Behaviour Vinod Dumblekar, Jigyasu Dubey, Upinder Dhar Simulation and Gaming, 2025 Background Player behaviour comprises thoughts, decisions and other actions that arise from multiple sources and contexts in games and is based on the players’ complex environment of information, vicarious experiences and perspectives. Learning and superior performance within the game are shaped by the players’ goal orientation, conviction and interactions. Objectives of the study: The study sought to understand the concept, functions and constituents of player behaviour from their perspectives, expectations, beliefs and traits. Recognising player behaviour in terms of its constituent elements would clarify and enhance knowledge of human behaviour and make it simple to use the understanding in deeper enquiry and applications. Method An instrument of 43 statements was first developed based on extant research and refined by the responses of 45 university teachers. It was then administered to 1,260 university students from whom 711 valid responses were received. The sample was processed by exploratory factor analysis under varimax rotation to yield the scale of player behaviour at a Cronbach alpha of .96 and a cumulative variance of 54 percent. Results The seven factors of the scale had an eigenvalue each of more than one, and Cronbach α values of .58 to .90. The exploratory factor analysis generated seven factors that were named conviction, experience sharing, uncertainty, unpredictability, insights, preparedness and planning. Discussion The study identified the factors of player behaviour and studied the effect of gender and education on player behaviour. It showed that player behaviour emerges from convictions which are perspectives backed by ready resources, skills and action plans to simplify, understand and respond to situations and likely problems. The behavioural differences between gender, type of programme and level of education were not significant. The study also discussed the nature of each factor and the limitations, suggestions and implications of the study.
Improved supervised classification model for automatically categorizes of news articles Nikhil Chaturvedi, Jigyasu Dubey Online Social Networks in Business Frameworks, 2024 A plethora of online news exists, but its organization is often lacking. Past research has primarily focused on categorizing news, especially in the realm of detecting misinformation. Employing machine learning methods for classifying internet news articles, researchers have leaned towards these approaches due to their computational efficiency and simplicity. This study proposes an enhanced supervised classification strategy for assigning news articles to their respective categories. The suggested approach begins by recognizing event sentences using triggers and sentence arguments. Following that, a machine learning model for sequence labeling will be developed to extract named entities from these event sentences. Furthermore, endeavors will be undertaken to identify contextually similar event sentences. The objective is to establish a sophisticated supervised classification method capable of automatically categorizing articles by identifying events and their associated types.
An Effective Sentiment Analysis in Hindi-English CodeMixed Twitter Data using Swea Clustering and Hybrid BLSTM-CNN Classification Abhishek Kori, Jigyasu Dubey Reliability Theory and Applications, 2022 Sentiment Analysis is the process of examining the individual’s emotions. In tweet sentiment analysis, opinions in messages are categorized into positive, negative and neutral categories. A clustering-based classification approach is used to increase the accuracy level and enhance the performance in sentiment classification. The input dataset comprises of Hindi-English code-mixed text data. Initially, the input text data is pre-processed with different pre-processing techniques such as stop word removal, tokenization, Stemming, lemmatization. This effectively pre-processes the data and makes it appropriate for further processing. Afterwards, effective features such as Count Vectors, Modified term frequency-inverse document frequency (MTF-IDF), Feature hashing, Glove feature and Word2vector features are extracted for enhancing the classification performance. Afterwards, Sentiment word embedding-based agglomerative (SWEA) clustering is presented for effective sentiment feature clustering. Finally, a hybrid Bidirectional long shortterm memory-convolutional neural network (Hybrid BLSTM-CNN) is used to accurately classify tweet sentiments into positive, negative, and neutral. Here, modified horse herd optimization (MHHO) approach is used for weight optimization in Hybrid BLSTM-CNN. This optimization approach further enhances the performance of classification. The dataset used for the implementation is a Hindi-English mixed dataset. The experimental result significantly improves the different existing approaches in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F-measure.
Cyber security event sentence detection from news articles based on trigger and argument Nikhil Chaturvedi, Jigyasu Dubey Using Computational Intelligence for the Dark Web and Illicit Behavior Detection, 2022 Events are critical for comprehending the things that occur in the actual world. The term “events” is frequently used to describe the numerous relationships between people, places, activities, and things. Events-centered modelling entails the representation of several facets of an event in addition to the semantic representation of event facts. Detecting cybersecurity occurrences is important to keep us aware of the rapidly increasing number of such incidents reported via text. The authors focus on cyber security event detection task in this study, specifically on identifying event trigger words and arguments in the cybersecurity area. For this study, they use the CASIE dataset. They propose a system that involves the events identification, event triggers identification, and event arguments extraction. In this section, they divide the cyber security event sentence classification model into two steps: event trigger and argument identification, and cyber security event sentence classification using the training corpus.
