  • Thematic evolution and determinants of patient acceptance of generic medicines: A systematic review and bibliometric analysis with special reference to India
Ruchi Saxena, A. Ameer Hussain, Samuel Mores Geddam, Pratibha Gupta
Journal of Applied Pharmaceutical Science, 2026
The article focuses on the thematic evaluation of generic medicine and identifies the factors that are responsible for patients accepting the same by patients. A total of 1,035 full-length articles were considered from the Scopus database from 1973 to 2024, and systematic literature was performed as per the guidance of PRISMA framework. The findings of the study indicate that misconception and misperception are the main two factors that hamper patience acceptance towards branded medicine over its generic counterpart. Other factors such as cost, prior experience medicine severity also plays a supportive crucial role in patience’s choice. In spite of multiple government initiatives worldwide, particularly in India, where health expenses are very high with limited insurance coverage, the awareness of generic medicine is less, which leads to therapeutic non-adherence. The current review highlights that although India is the largest supplier of generic medicine globally, its domestic consumption is less due to concerns related to trust, professional recommendation, and quality. The study highlights the urgent need to educate people and involve healthcare professionals to clear up misunderstandings about generic medicines. By educating the patience by showing the value of generic medicine over branded drug, without any compromise in safety, healthcare systems can encourage better medicine use, lower treatment costs, and make essential drugs more accessible to everyone.
  • A Study on the Positive and Negative Effects of Conflict in Financial Performance of Channel Partners with Work Relationship As A Mediator
Ameer Hussain A, Suresh Chandra Padhy., Vijayakumar N C
Jordan Journal of Business Administration, 2025
Conflict in the workplace is usually viewed with a negative connotation. Though there are different classifications of conflict depending on its nature, managers generalize that conflict hampers the working relationship and financial performance of the organization. This research paper focuses on grouping various types of conflict and their relative impacts on financial performance in B2B channel environment. The study also focused on assessing the role of work relationship as a mediating variable using SPSS process macros. A sample of 262 respondents was recruited via online and field visits among industrial pump distributors across India. Industrial pump distributors have been considered in this study, as they have their vested interest which is different from the manufacturer's objective, leaving a potential conflict environment. The findings of the study conclude that cognitive conflict results in positive financial outcomes, whereas affective conflict results in a negative financial outcome. Process conflict on its own does not have either positive or negative impacts. Moreover, work relationship acts as a full mediator between cognitive conflict and financial performance, whereas it acts as a partial mediator between affective conflict and financial performance. Hence, managers of channel partners need to encourage cognitive conflict and discourage affective conflict in their workplaces to have a constructive financial output. They also need to give special attention to the work relationship between the channel partners to have healthier conflict.
  • Key issues of organisational governance – an empirical analysis
Deepak Harlalka, Suresh Chandra Padhy, A. Ameer Hussain
International Journal of Public Sector Performance Management, 2025
The research article studies the possibility of involvement of larger group of stakeholders including employees, vendors and customers in ensuring better corporate governance. It analyses the merits of inclusion of these stakeholders in organisational governance in addition to management group and auditors. A survey was conducted among a sample of 70 stakeholders of a manufacturing company including employees, vendors and customers. The outcome of the survey concludes that the enlarged group of stakeholder's involvements in governance process has significant positive association in ensuring better governance and enterprise risk management. Where ever the awareness is high on corporate governance, the possibility of identifying and reporting the unethical practices is high. Hence, additional stakeholder plays a greater role in the corporate governance of the organisation and their hidden potential should be unleashed. The company also needs to take necessary steps to provide proper secure platform for these new stakeholders to report any unethical issue related to corporate governance.

  • IoT Enabled Smart Homes in Tropical Regions as a Means of Sustainable Development
Samuel Mores Geddam, Anil B Gowda, Ameer Hussain
Iop Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science, 2024
Internet of Things (IoT) in the context of Smart Homes has been an emerging area of study. IoT technology-enabled provides Integrated and centralized monitoring and control system where the inhabitants can remotely adjust access in the house, temperature and lighting etc., but also functions of the smart TV, refrigerator, oven etc. A step forward to this, Smart 2.0 can be achieved by integrating greeneries maintenance atomization, energy and water conservation, etc., with the IoT technologies to maintain a healthy indoor environment. The study focus on how IoT enabled Smart Homes can contribute, enabling a new era of development and growth aimed at achieving Sustainability. A critical literature review and factors are identified that will align the development catering to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, 2015 and the UN-Habitat New Urban Agenda, 2016 which are today’s International Agendas aimed at achieving Sustainable Development. Well-planned and well-managed IoT enabled Smart Homes in the context of urbanization, can be a powerful tool for sustainable development for both developing and developed nations. Achievement of SDGs especially, Goal 3, 6, 7 and 11 is impossible without the role of technology. With the proper delivery and implementation of IoT enabled Smart Homes, safeguarding the sustainability of Cities and Communities is possible. IoT in Smart Home keep the power, water, temperature, ventilation systems, solar power, greeneries and waste in check which in turn leads to sustainability. An IoT enabled Smart Home model for Sustainability has been proposed.
  • Cognitive and Affective Components Induced Impulsive Purchase: An Empirical Analysis
    A. Ameer Hussain, Bhuvanesh Kumar Sharma, Chaitra V H, Syed Kazim
    Journal of Promotion Management, 2024
The paper aims to empirically investigate the role of price-related marketing stimuli and the visual appeal of the user interface (UI) on online impulse buying. The mediating effects of cognitive and affective components, which are influenced by price-related and visual-appeal UI, on online impulse buying are checked. A survey-based research design was employed by floating the structured questionnaire among 370 respondents in both online and offline modes. These responses were further analyzed using covariance-based structural equation modeling (SEM) and AMOS software. The result of the study indicated that affective shopping behavior, visual appeal of the website, and cognitive shopping behavior significantly influence online impulsive buying compared to price-related stimuli. Though the direct effect of price-related stimuli on online shopping is insignificant, its indirect effect via affective shopping behavior is highly significant. Meanwhile, the website's visual appeal, directly and indirectly, affects online shopping behavior. It was also found that affective shopping behavior fully mediates between price-related marketing stimuli and online impulsive buying. In contrast, cognitive shopping behavior is partially mediated by the visual appeal of UI and online impulsive buying. The research results direct that people may engage in online impulsive buying mainly due to affective shopping behavior and the visual appeal of the UI, but at the same time, they are equally price conscious.
  • Digital Adoption of Start-Ups With E-Governance Systems: A Mediating Role of Digital Support and Awareness
Aman Sharma, Bhuvanesh Kumar Sharma, Prakash Singh, Sunil Mishra, Ameer Hussain
International Journal of Electronic Government Research, 2022
This study aims to encourage the adoption intention of independent digitalization with e-governance among small investment start-ups. The study also analyzed the start-ups' adoption intention for digitalization by testing the significance of benefits and sacrifices associated with the digital platforms of e-governance. The current study also analyzed the moderating effect of digital support and awareness on digital adoption. The study's findings will also help the government in drafting policies to address the factors that positively impact the perceived value of digital adoption by developing a digital support system and further scaling up digital literacy, especially for start-ups. Overall, the study's findings will help the government understand the present status of start-ups' digitalization growth in India and the success rate of the Digital India mission. So, the e-governance system can be further strengthened accordingly.
