AMIT BHOWMICK

EDUCATION

I am a mechanical engineer with two years of HVAC industry experience and over eight years of research in computational mechanics. I earned my PhD from IIT Kharagpur, where I developed particle-level chemo-mechanical models for high-capacity anode materials in lithium-ion batteries.

Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Georgia, focusing on electro-chemo-mechanical modeling of all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs). Previously, at the University of Delaware, I investigated swelling force measurements and multiscale modeling of lithium-ion batteries in collaboration with the Abaqus team.

My expertise spans continuum mechanics, finite element and finite difference methods, and the mechanics of energy storage materials.
