Implications for organizational agility of developments in business intelligence and communication technologies Duong Ngoc Anh, SR Ramesh Kumar, Mohan Reddy Sareddy, Gunjan Sharma, Kajal Chheda, SR Rameshk Kumar 3rd International Conference on Advances in Computing Communication and Materials Icaccm 2024, 2024 Business intelligence (BI) is increasingly being used in a variety of sectors to help organizations make more informed decisions. Even so, there are relatively few studies that use actual data on BI. This study examines BI from the aspect of Organisational Agility. Organizational agility is the capacity to quickly identify and react to challenges and the environment of the business. We propose that the usage of BI and Communication Technologies (CT) are two important preconditions for organizational agility, based on organizations' research and theory on Communication technologies, business intelligence and organisational agility. To examine how BI usage and communication technologies affect organizational agility, we created a study model. The model was evaluated using survey data that was gathered. The findings are consistent with the idea that two important predictors of organizational agility are BI and communication technology. This study is a trailblazing effort that empirically explores the value of BI in a commercial environment.
