Imposter Syndrome Among Women With Disabilities: Examining Human Identity in the Era of Artificial Intelligence Shashwata Sahu, Navonita Mallick Imposter Syndrome and AI Navigating Human Identity in the Age of Intelligent Machines, 2026 Disability women with disabilities are welcomed with twin exclusion through gender bias, ableism, and technologically driven marginalisation, further intensified by the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Imposter syndrome, persistent self-doubt despite ability, becomes an inescapable challenge, breaking down their confidence and professional advancement. This study explores the intersection of gender, disability, and AI in shaping impostor experiences using doctrinal analysis of legal documents, AI ethics guidelines, and international instruments such as the UNCRPD and CEDAW. The study illustrates that AI-powered work systems, learning tests, and employment monitoring tend to write and inscribe biases and magnify identity crises. At the same time, accessible and inclusive AI technologies can fight impostor feelings. It is suggested in the article that accessibility, intersectional inclusivity, and rights-based management be employed to enable equal AI to serve empowered disabled women and uphold human identity.
The Right to a Healthy Environment as a Child Human Right: Integrating Intergenerational Justice Into Sustainable Development Governance Navonita Mallick, Hiranmaya Nanda, Shashwata Sahu Safeguarding Social Justice and Human Rights in the Age of AI, 2026 The 2022 United Nations General Assembly statements on the human right to a healthy, clean, and sustainable environment further entrenched the human rights conversation by allowing for children's rights to be mainstreamed in environmental policy. Children continue to be disproportionately impacted by climate change effects, pollution, and loss of biodiversity, accounting for over 1.7 million preventable environmental deaths annually. This article takes the child's right to a healthy environment as a legally binding human right from the theory of intergenerational justice. Employing a comparative and doctrinal approach, it charts international instruments, UNCRC, SDGs, and trailblazing cases such as Sacchi, Urgenda, and Oposa, and Indian, South African, Norwegian, Dutch, and Philippine constitutional case law. Despite growing court recognition, some child-led protection is still cosmetic. The research espouses embracing intergenerational justice, better enforcement, and passing child-specific legislation as a way of developing a permanent, rights-oriented environmental future.
Empowering Mobility for Protecting Human Rights of Disabled Children: AI-Driven Accessibility Solutions in Smart Cities Shashwata Sahu, Navonita Mallick, Ramesh Chanda Sethi Safeguarding Social Justice and Human Rights in the Age of AI, 2026 Artificial intelligence in smart cities has transformed urban living. But for those cities to be truly inclusive, they must address the specific needs of vulnerable populations, including disabled children. This chapter analyses how AI-powered accessibility solutions empower mobility and access to services for disabled children in smart cities. At the crossroads of AI and urban inclusion, its objective is to engage with the contemporary discourse on the equitable city. The chapter concludes by stressing that it is only through collaboration between technologists, policymakers, and urban planners that we can create smart cities that are accessible and rights-holders and places where disabled children can truly participate in the lives of their communities.
Balancing Fire Ecology and Human Rights: Governance Frameworks and Policy Innovations for Sustainable Futures With AI Ramesh Chanda Sethi, Shashwata Sahu, Navonita Mallick Safeguarding Social Justice and Human Rights in the Age of AI, 2026 The role of fire in an ecosystem is the focus of a suite of bylaws known as fire science or fuel ecology. However, it only scratches the surface of understanding how those systems will respond to wildfire management amidst climate change. The chapter investigates the nexus of governance, policy frameworks, and sustainability in fire ecology by analysing what extant legal instruments fail to regulate human-related impacts. The findings indicate serious governance issues, such as obsolete legal bases and jurisdictional responsibilities. It proposes adaptive governance, decision-making based on science, and collaborative action in wildfire management. The chapter provides specific policy recommendations to prepare for future natural fire systems that are robust enough to permit ecological and community survival in the face of more intense wildfires.
Geospatial Applications in Right to Food and Sustainable Food Security: Global Policy Perspectives Ramesh Chanda Sethi, Shashwata Sahu, Navonita Mallick, Saurabh Chandra Harnessing Geospatial Information Systems for Sustainable Economic and Regional Development, 2026 Hunger was a significant issue affecting approximately 1 in 10 people globally in 2022. About 783 million people experienced hunger that year, while 2.4 billion faced moderate to severe food insecurity worldwide. Despite remarkable economic growth, Global continued to confront hunger and related challenges: 13.7% of the population was undernourished, 35.5% of children under the age of five were stunted, 18.7% of children under five were wasted, and 2.9% of children died before reaching their fifth birthday (Global Hunger Index, 2024). These statistics underscore the urgent need for an effective food security system and proper implementation of existing food policies to achieve a hunger-free, sustainable Global. This chapter critically analyzes Global's effectiveness in combating hunger and food insecurity through the National Food Security Act (NFSA) of 2013, and examines its implementation across various states. It also discusses policy loopholes within legal frameworks.
AI-Enabled Detection of Online Child Abuse Using Pattern Recognition and Social Network Analysis Navonita Mallick, Shashwata Sahu, Hiranmaya Nanda, Parthasarathi Pattnayak, Arpeeta Mohanty, Tulip Das Proceedings of the 4th IEEE International Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Technology and Management for Social Innovation Iatmsi 2026, 2026 The heightened number of child abuse cases on the internet has created serious international alarms, and the employment of high-level technological solutions in this situation is necessary. The article discusses the application of artificial intelligence (AI), i.e., pattern recognition and social network analysis, to discover early signs of internet exploitation. The study adopts a literature-based analytical approach, systematically searching academic repositories to assess deep learning algorithms, natural language processing methodologies, and analytical networks. Pattern recognition helps detect offensive imagery and content, while social network analysis detects grooming patterns and suspicious behaviour of users. Integrating multi-modal AI systems with visual, textual, and behavioural data has improved detection rates and minimized false negatives. The research demonstrates that incorporating relational network data into AI models has a decisive effect on predictive precision. Though such systems have revolutionary potential for anticipatory child safety, deployment will be confronted with privacy, scalability, and algorithmic fairness issues.
Privacy Meets Profit: Federated Learning in Metaverse Healthcare Shashwata Sahu, Navonita Mallick, Parthasarathi Pattnayak, Ramesh Chandra Sethi, Prativa Panda, Arpeeta Mohanty Proceedings of the 4th IEEE International Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches in Technology and Management for Social Innovation Iatmsi 2026, 2026 Healthcare holds almost one-third of the world's data, which has caused worries over data privacy and the system's financial viability, as every security incident costs on average $10.93 million. To ensure the confidentiality of patients' information, the current research proposes a federated learning framework utilizing a metaverse paradigm with token-based incentives as a method for secure, encrypted, and decentralized data collection and processing. The simulation outcomes indicate improved diagnostics, which, in turn, reduces the risk of data leaks. This architecture, in a private first ecosystem, is a great way to create more value by deploying it in a scalable and cost-effective manner. As the AI market in healthcare is anticipated to be worth $ 187 billion by 2030, the proposed model provides a strong foundation for building secure, engaging, and ethically regulated digital health environments that foster longterm ecological trust.
