  • Modern School Libraries as Engines of Equity: International Think Tank on Educational Leadership, Inclusion, and Digital transformation
    Jogen Sharma
Advancing Equity in Schools Through Global Perspectives on Educational Leadership, 2026
The study discussed equitable education in accordance with SDG 4. Visionary, futuristic leadership is necessary, positioning contemporary school libraries as key drivers of inclusivity. Although they were initially basic resource deposits, the libraries are now equity hubs that promote access to digital tools and multilingual, culturally responsive learning. The chapter creatively explores, comparatively and conceptually, how leaders in different geographical areas, such as Africa, the Gulf, South Asia, Europe and North America, use resources, data, technology and AI-enhanced systems to develop equitable and inclusive library spaces. It links global frameworks (UNESCO, OECD, World Bank) with local practice to show how AI and new technologies redefine literacy, access, and ethics. This chapter introduces a leadership-based model that positions libraries as transformational structures that can help translate the objectives of global equity into actionable change at the school level, informing policymakers, educators and researchers focused on future-ready and inclusive education.
  • Libraries as Hubs for Media Literacy and Countering Digital Misinformation
    Jogen Sharma
Media Literacy and the Politics of Digital Misinformation, 2026
The digital era has enhanced misinformation and disinformation, which heightened the lack of trust, democracy and health. Libraries, as trusted, accessible and inclusive institutions, are becoming important centres of media and digital information literacy to help citizens critically assess sources, stop false content, and gain resilience. The chapter explores approaches and models of media literacy programs through workshops, fact-checking, gamified learning and AI-based tools in connection with public, academic and school libraries. Based on UNESCO and IFLA frameworks as well as international case studies, it provides insight into successful models of instruction and assessment such as pre/post testing that shows measurable improvement in misinformation detection. Challenges such as funding, the digital divide and politicization are discussed, along with future directions to embed media literacy in national policies and expand international partnerships. Libraries as anchors of lifelong learning are positioned to enhance informed, resilient and democratic societies.
  • Public Libraries in the Digital Age: An Indian Perspective
    Jogen Sharma
International Journal of Emerging Research in Engineering Science and Management, 2025
This paper examines the state and challenges of public libraries in India amid the ongoing digital transformation. With over 75,000 rural and nearly 5,000 urban libraries, India’s public library network plays a crucial role in democratizing information access but faces significant issues, including funding disparities, staffing shortages, uneven ICT adoption, and limited digital resources, particularly in rural and underserved areas. The study examines staffing patterns, budgeting, collection development, ICT integration, and national policy frameworks, utilizing government reports and relevant literature. Findings highlight critical gaps in infrastructure, professional capacity, and policy implementation that hinder efforts to modernize. The paper recommends targeted investments in digital infrastructure, professional training, stable funding mechanisms, policy reform, and the development of multilingual resources to bridge the digital divide and enhance library services for inclusive lifelong learning.
  • A Comprehensive Bibliometric Analysis of Soft Robotics Research: Trends, Impact, and Future Directions
Souvik Banerjee, Jogen Sharma, Abhijit Pandit
Green Software Engineering for Business Project Management, 2025
This report presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the soft robotics research landscape, drawing upon a Scopus-derived dataset. The study meticulously examines publication trends, identifies influential documents, leading authors, prominent institutions, key publication outlets, and the global distribution of research efforts. Findings reveal a field characterised by exponential growth in scientific production, particularly since 2013, driven by advancements in materials science, novel fabrication techniques like 3D/4D printing, and bio-inspired design principles. The analysis highlights the significant contributions of pioneering researchers and institutions, predominantly from the USA, with a notable recent surge in output from Asian countries. While the field demonstrates a robust intellectual framework and diverse applications in human-robot interaction and biomedicine, challenges about long-term durability, standardised characterisation, energy autonomy, and complex control strategies persist.
  • Operational Plan for All Academic and Institutional Libraries
    Jogen Sharma, Dayawanti Tarmali
International Journal of Emerging Research in Engineering Science and Management, 2023
This article will help to understand the Operational Plan details related information and it will help people to make their knowledge grow. The Strategic Plan defines the idea and procedure of strategic planning and goes some way to explaining how it first appeared in the workplace in the 1960s before being adopted by library and information services in the 1970s with help from trade organizations and governmental organizations that supported the development of best practices. Will describe ground-breaking work on the subject, define basic planning stages, and list the advantages of strategic planning for libraries. With annotations, it enables us to understand scholarly works as well as read suggestions. The Annual Operational Plan of the Library of any educational institution corresponds to the current year. The strategic and operational objectives will be aimed at reinforcing the weak points and carrying out the necessary improvements to provide quality and excellent service. The Annual Operating Plan Development (AOPD) can carry out the following actions: take into account the strategic plan of the institute; select, analyze, and present proposals for actions for the current year, within the strategic lines; and general and operational objectives of the strategic plan. Institute offers excellent services that meet the needs of research and contribute to the dissemination of scientific production of the institute. People and organization: guarantee the professionalism of all library staff and propose an efficient training plan and permanent professional updating in an optimal working environment. The plan will be monitored by the Strategic Plan Group, which may propose the necessary adjustments.
