Surg Commodore (Dr) Sunil Goyal, retd is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist who has served in the Indian Navy for 35 years. An Alumni of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, he has 32 years of Clinical Experience in Psychiatry. In the past he has been a Professor in various prestigious institutes including Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantt and Indian Navy Hospital Asvini, Mumbai. Presently serving as Professor and Head of Department in Psychiatry at Santosh Medical College and Hospital. In the past he has been member of the Executive Council of the Indian Psychiatric Society and President of the Military Psychiatry subchapter. He was a member of the WHO task force for Standardized Treatment Guidelines in India. He has 26 publications and has contributed chapters to 6 textbooks. He has been awarded Marfatia award and Kirpal Singh award for his research papers by the Indian Psychiatric Society.
