Alexandre Dieguez
Alexandre is a Brazilian Ph.D. student in Mathematics at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA), under the supervision of Prof. Carlos Gustavo Moreira (Gugu). Previously, he earned his Master's (2026) and Bachelor's (2024) degrees in Mathematics at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), where his Master's research was guided by Prof. Marco Aymone. His primary research interests lie at the intersection of Diophantine Approximation, Ergodic Theory, and Dynamical Systems. Furthermore, he possesses a strong background in Analytic Number Theory, having authored research published in the Journal of Number Theory.
