INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

With over eight years of research and industry experience in leading agricultural biotechnology and seed companies such as Tierra Agrotech Ltd, Tierra Seed Science, and the Barwale Foundation (Mahyco Seeds Ltd), I have specialized in plant breeding and genetic improvement focusing on biotic stress resistance in key crops like rice, tomato, and okra. I have led product development and germplasm enhancement by standardizing screening methodologies for pest and disease resistance and applying molecular tools for trait identification. My expertise includes managing breeding nurseries, crop management, and using statistical breeding software like Phenome Networks to enhance yield and crop quality. Trained internationally in entomology and molecular breeding, I have successfully introgressed resistance genes and guided breeding programs from sowing to harvesting in both academic and commercial settings.
