Has experience in the field of Political Science, with an emphasis on International Politics, covering topics such as foreign policy analysis, Brazilian foreign policy, International Relations Theory, diplomatic and consular relations, comparative politics, regional integration, Mercosur, international political organizations, soft balancing, the foreign policy of emerging regional powers, paradiplomacy, and international insertion. He also has expertise in the analysis of political conjuncture, including topics such as Brazilian coalition presidentialism, Executive–Legislative relations, political parties and elections, judicialization of politics, federalism, and political alliances.

EDUCATION

Ph.D. in Political Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2015) and a Master’s degree in Political Science from the same institution (2009). He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2006). He is currently a professor in the Department of Political Science at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) and a member of the Brazilian section of the Luso-Brazilian Commission for the Safeguarding and Dissemination of Documentary Heritage (COLUSO). He is also a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Strategic Research in International Relations and Diplomacy (IPERID). He is affiliated with the Center for the Study of Comparative Politics and International Relations (Nepi) within the Department of Political Science at UFPE. In addition, he is a member of the Research Group on Strategic Studies and International Security (GEESI) in the Department of International Relations at UFPB.
