Ana Carolina Oliveira

EDUCATION

PhD student in Image and Culture in the Graduate Program in Visual Arts (PPGAV) at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She holds a Masters degree in Creative Media from the School of Communication at the same university, with a dissertation focused on graphic memoirs and the social issues experienced by Black women in Brazilian society. She was awarded the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) scholarship, promoted by EduCanada, working as a visiting researcher at the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD U) in Toronto, where she deepened her studies on graphic memoirs. She earned a Bachelors degree in Printmaking, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the School of Fine Arts at UFRJ (2021).
