Holds a PhD (2007) and Master's degree (2001) in Education from the University of São Paulo (USP). Graduated in History. Researches topics related to Research Methodology, Freirean theory and praxis; ethno-raciality and education. He is a professor in the Postgraduate Program (Master's and Doctorate) in Education and Director of the Professional Master's and Doctorate Program in Management and Educational Practices (PROGEPE) at Uninove. He also teaches in the Medicine course at Uninove. He develops and supervises research in the areas of Learning Methodology and Teaching Practices, and Popular Education and Cultures. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Paulo Freire Institute. He is the author of works for the teaching of History in Basic Education, and of books and scientific articles in Education.
