DR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ LONE

• Dr. M. Ishaq Lone is Sr. Assistant Librarian in Allama Iqbal Library, University of Kashmir, Srinagar (J & K), India. He completed B.Sc. from S.P. College, Srinagar and then pursued MLIS & B.Ed. from University of Kashmir. He was awarded Ph.D. degree from the same University in 2018. Apart from this, he is also having degree of Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from IGNOU. He has also done ‘O’ level and PGDLAN. He is a prolific writer having more than 25 research publications to his credit. He regularly participates in national and international workshops, seminars, conferences and symposia. He has presented 20 research papers in various national and international conferences, seminars etc. He has also been the organizing secretary of Book exhibitions, training courses and acted as Rapporteur in different conferences and seminars. He has acted as coordinator/organizing secretary of events like Seminars, Workshops, Book Releases, and other important Day celebrations held in Allama Iqbal Library from time to time. He has also delivered lectures during workshops, user awareness programmes, training courses, Refresher Courses and Orientation Programmes. Apart from these, he is member of important library associations including Indian Library Association (ILA), Indian Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (IATLIS), and Society for Information Science (SIS).
