I am a teacher of the Federal University of Paraná. I am a Civil Engineer from the University of Fortaleza (1996), Master (1999) and Doctor (2003) in Production Engineering from Federal University of Santa Catarina. I worked in manufacturing industry, architecture residential / industrial and construction management in the Construction Industry and business consulting. I operates in research and extension activities in the areas of technological innovation to product development and information services, Mapping and Information Flow, Information Management, Lean Thinking, Lean Office, information and communication technology and its applications in the creation of learning objects to promote continuing education and training, corporate education and distance education. Projects developed at the Laboratory of Digital Media and Center for Studies in Virtual and Augmented Reality.

EDUCAÇÃO ABERTA: DISSEMINAÇÃO DO CONHECIMENTO SOBRE ECONOMIA CIRCULAR E SUSTENTABILIDADE APLICADA A INDÚSTRIA DA CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL

FUNDAÇÃO ARAUCÁRIA N: PRD2023361000668 - No Brasil, as pesquisas sobre ensino arquitetura/engenharia sustentável apontam que há uma lacuna a ser preenchida e está investigação alerta para necessidade da preparação das gerações futuras de profissionais para a linguagem nova que a arquitetura sustentável requer, para transformar significativamente a cidade. Observa-se que a maioria dos gruposde pesquisa e pesquisadores desta área acumulam conhecimentos e tem dificuldades em disseminar a tecnologia produzida. O objetivo dessa pesquisa é propor um modelo de educação aberta que ajude esses grupos de pesquisa a acelerar os processos de transferência de conhecimento ou tecnologia mais rápida a comunidade. A pesquisa é aplicada e experimental. Fundamenta-se nas discussões teóricas de sustentabilidadeaplicada a construção civil, desenvolvimento sustentável, economia circular, transferência de conhecimento, educação aberta e continuada para engenheiros e arquitetos.

Circular Economy

Estratégia para despertar e fixar mulheres na engenharia

[BANPESQ. 202473352] A participação no Grupo Temático de Aprendizagem Ativa de Educação em Engenharia (GT-AAEE) da Associação Brasileira do Ensino de Engenharia (ABENGE) permitiu identificar diversos problemas relacionados à evasão de jovens dos cursos de engenharia. Nesse contexto, o objetivo deste projeto é desenvolver estratégias para aumentar a presença feminina nessa área. Para isso, será adotado o enfoque educativo STEAM, que abrange Ciência, Tecnologia, Engenharia, Arte e Matemática, visando promover a alfabetização tecnológica, combater o declínio nos estudos de ciências e reduzir a disparidade de gênero em questões científico-tecnológicas. A pesquisa será de natureza descritiva e bibliográfica, complementada por atividades de extensão pautadas em processos educativos transversais e interdisciplinares. MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSES (MOOCs) NA EDUCAÇÃO SUPERIOR PÚBLICA: EXPERIÊNCIAS, DESAFIOS E TENDÊNCIAS

[BANPESQ. 202371394] As sociedades fundamentadas no conhecimento atribuem grande valor àeducação, à inovação e à disseminação das informações e saberes gerados emuniversidades e centros de pesquisa. Os Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs)surgiram como um meio significativo para difundir o conhecimento e ampliar o acesso àeducação. Considerando a constante evolução do cenário da educação superior,evidenciada pelo aumento progressivo das matrículas, sobretudo recentemente emcursos na modalidade a distância, observa-se que os estudantes desse nível educacionalestão cada vez mais familiarizados com o ambiente online.   • Digital competence of higher education professors in the adequation of remote teaching

    Introdução: A adoção do ensino remoto para a continuidade das aulas presenciais durante a pandemia de COVID-19 exigiu, de forma urgente, o desenvolvimento de competências digitais da comunidade acadêmica. Objetivo: analisar a competência digital de docentes da educação superior brasileira durante o período de adequação ao ensino remoto. Método: pesquisa de levantamento com 322 professores do ensino superior brasileiro. Um questionário foi aplicado para levantar a percepção dos professores acerca do ensino remoto, bem como avaliar sua competência digital. Resultados: as competências digitais que precisam ser melhor desenvolvidas são: adoção de estratégias de gestão da informação; desenvolvimento de ferramentas para avaliações online; uso de ferramentas para gamificação e a aprendizagem colaborativa. Discussão: o desenvolvimento dessas competências digitais auxilia na solução dos problemas com o ensino remoto. Docentes que costumam fazer cursos e trocar experiências são os que possuem um maior desenvolvimento das competências digitais analisadas.
  • Potential Synergy Between Agile Management and the Mindset of Circular Economy in Construction Projects

    The focus of project management on processes and activities in the construction sector presents high variability and uncertainty. This article suggests the adoption of agile methodologies with an emphasis on people as an alternative that encourages reflection and anticipation of building maintenance and demolition problems. The objective is to identify the theoretical proximity between the main characteristics of agile construction project management and the circular economy mindset. The methodology used was a systematic bibliographical review and state-of-the-art content analysis on the application of agile in construction projects, with the discovery of the most cited characteristics and, subsequently, the establishment of a correlation with the elements of the circular economy mindset from inferences regarding the similarity of concepts and perspectives between both. From this analysis emerges the synergy between the circular and agile mindset. The conclusive trend is that architecture and construction benefit from the transitions from traditional management methodology to agile management and from the linear economy to the circular economy, given its limited technological stage in Brazil, in addition to the possibility of reducing waste generation and maintenance of the added value of buildings.
  • How Circular Economy Strategies Can Be Implemented in the Dwelling Renovation Design Phase

    The world’s largest consumer of raw materials is the construction sector, which mostly adopts the linear economy model. Several researchers make an effort to study how to realize a transition in the sector to a circular model of environmental development, applying strategies to preserve the raw resources, maintain materials in use as long as they can be, and reuse and recycle the building components. For increased circular efficiency of the construction, it is ideal to adopt strategies still in the design phase, however, most city buildings weren’t built taking this into account and have a low possibility of adaptation of spaces and disassembly of their materials and components. Dwelling renovation has a crucial role in this scenario, and this research aims to figure out how these strategies can be applied to renovation projects since there is a lack of information on how to do this, as the studies are addressed more to new buildings. Through a systematic literature review, using relevant terms, this document identified the principal’s circular economy strategies for the design phase, the dwelling spatial configuration models and the dissatisfaction of its inhabitants, and some design possibilities that can be applied to renovation projects. These findings contribute to the development of documents focused on architectural design practice.
  • The Materials Bank of the City of Porto: Flow of Processes to Recover Tiles in Urban Operations of Historic Buildings

    The recovery and reuse of materials are one of the main objectives of the circular economy (CE) to minimize the environmental impacts of the construction industry. Public policies, citizen cultural awareness, urban mining practices, and analysis of material flows are being increasingly investigated seeking the reinsertion of materials into the economy. These practices are particularly important when they aim to protect the history and culture of a country, as in the case of Portuguese tiles, which constitute a significant part of Portuguese cultural heritage and must be safeguarded and protected. This article presents a case study of the Materials Bank (MB) of the City of Porto, Portugal, which aims to recover and protect the tile heritage of historic buildings in the municipality. The study sought to map the flow of processes that enable the formation of the MB, due to the joint efforts of local governance and public policies. The flowchart obtained guides managers to create public policies associated with actions for the maintenance and reuse of building materials in buildings related to historical and cultural heritage. It is observed that from legislation and engaged governance, it is possible to accelerate the operation of circular actions in the built environment and promote greater awareness about the reuse of secondary materials and the protection of historical heritage.

    Introduction: The area of ​​education is important for a Circular Economy, as the transition to circular models requires individuals and organizations that learn to innovate and put into practice what they have learned in the real world. This area, from elementary school to graduate school, plays a vital role in ensuring that students of all ages are equipped with the key skills and knowledge to execute circular thinking in their careers. Objective: Map the information flow stages present in the MOOC production process on Circular Economy. Methodology: This research is characterized as exploratory in terms of its objectives and analyzes the flow of information in the process of creating an informational product with regard to procedures. Results: This research showed that an activity of an interdisciplinary nature, such as Information Management - which evolves over time, mainly due to technological innovations - contributed to mapping the stages of needs, obtaining, treatment, distribution, use, storage and disposal of information from the information flow within the process of developing an information product – in this case, the IEC MOOC. Conclusion: Associated with the concepts of information architecture, information design and information ergonomics, GI helped in the structuring, organization and presentation of educational information, optimizing the transmission of knowledge and user experience.

    O TikTok tornou-se internacionalmente plataforma digital de notável expansão de consumo, reconhecida como capaz de formar opinião pública, ecoar pautas e debates do momento e favorecer a propagação de tendências nos mais diversos campos da vida social. A música constitui parte essencial da experiência dos frequentadores dessa plataforma digital, na qual as composições surgem em vídeos curtos, editadas, remixadas, pasteurizadas ou distorcidas, participando e dando suporte aos mais diferentes tipos de performances dos frequentadores. O artigo explora, a partir da revisão crítica da literatura científica sobre o tema, as implicações e impactos dessas novas práticas, usos e consumo de música no âmbito da plataformização da indústria cultural sob a intensa mediação algorítmica, fenômenos para os quais o TikTok contribui de forma importante e decisiva.

Objetivo: Mapear las etapas del flujo de lainformación presentes en el proceso productivo de cursos masivos abiertos y online sobreEconomía Circular. Metodología: Esta investigación es exploratoria cuantos a sus objetivosy se propone hacer un análisis del flujo de la información en el proceso de creación de unproducto informacional con respecto a los procedimientos. Resultados: Evidenció que unaactividad de naturaleza interdisciplinaria, como la Gestión de la Información, contribuyópara mapear las etapas de necesidades, obtención, tratamiento, distribución, utilización,almacenamiento y descarte de la información del flujo informacional dentro del proceso dedesarrollo de un producto informacional. Conclusión: La asociada de los conceptos dearquitectura de la información, diseño de la información, ergonomía de la información y lagestión de la información auxiliaron en la estructuración, organización y presentación delcontenido educativo, optimizando la transmisión de información y la experiencia del usuario.
  • Teacher training in Brazilian universities in the postpandemic period

    Resumo A pesquisa analisa como as universidades brasileiras conduzem a formação dos seus docentes no período pós pandemia. Uma pesquisa de levantamento com a participação de 59 universidades (35 públicas e 24 privadas) foi aplicada no segundo semestre de 2021. Os resultados mostram que houve uma evolução em relação à formação docente após o Ensino remoto emergencial, com o aumento da quantidade e diversidade de cursos, abrangência e adesão de mais professores, formações de forma contínua, instituição ou melhoria de planos de formação. Muitos cursos ofertados referem-se ao uso de ferramentas tecnológicas básicas ou tradicionais e foram necessários para a continuidade das aulas de forma remota, no entanto, ainda existem possibilidades de explorar outras ferramentas com outras finalidades de uso, desenvolvendo a Competência Docente Digital. Para sistematizar os planos e programas de formação, sugere-se o uso de ferramentas da Gestão do Conhecimento, mais especificamente o modelo Seci, pois possibilita a conversão entre os tipos de conhecimento e avaliação contínua.
  • Requirements for Data Science: analyzing job postings with text mining

    Esta pesquisa identifica os requisitos para cientistas de dados no Brasil em anúncios de emprego. Para analisar estes documentos, adota métodos de mineração de texto: n-grama, modelagem de tópico e agrupamento. Os resultados apontam uma concentração de vagas em São Paulo e revelam que a modalidade remota é a segunda mais ofertada. Além disso, destaca que os salários no Brasil estão abaixo da média de outros países, mesmo que as organizações procurem por profissionais experientes e com alto nível educacional. Quanto aos requisitos, há o predomínio de habilidades técnicas como machine learning, modelos estatísticos, python, banco de dados, dentre outras. Para as técnicas de mineração, demonstra que n-grama e o agrupamento são mais adequadas que a modelagem de tópicos.
