Thyago Proença de Moraes is a nephrologist who graduated in Medicine (2001) and specialized in Internal Medicine (20012003) at the School of Medicine of Marília, and in Nephrology (20052007) at the Evangelical University Hospital of Curitiba. He also completed a Fellowship at the University of Nottingham (2012). In 2017, he was elected President of the Paraná Society of Nephrology, and in 2019/2020 served as its Scientific the PUCPR School of Medicine, he has been teaching since 2011, served as Internationalization Agent between 2013 and 2017, and coordinated the Undergraduate Research Axis between 2017 and 2018. He is the author of the chapter on Peritoneal Dialysis in the UNESCO/EOLSS online encyclopedia. He is also a researcher and faculty member in the Graduate Program in Health Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, and a CNPq Productivity Grant holder (level 2) from 2018 to 2025.His main research areas are related to chronic diseases, especially chr
