A.A. Hasani is an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering in the School of Industrial Engineering & Management at Shahrood University, Iran. He received his PhD from Department of Industrial Engineering at Tarbiat Modares University, Iran in 2014. He holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, Iran and a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Iran University of Science & Technology, Iran. His main areas of teaching and research interests include supply chain management, production planning and scheduling, multi-objective optimization problems, meta-heuristics, quality management and productivity. Analyzing operational risks of digital supply chain transformation using hybrid ISM-MICMAC method Aliakbar Hasani, Gholamreza Haseli, Muhammet Deveci Opsearch, 2025 Identifying and prioritizing risks is crucial for the successful digital transformation of a supply chain's key processes without disruption. An organized and comprehensive risk assessment framework will significantly ensure a sustainable transformation to a digital supply chain. In this study, digital transformation risks are identified and prioritized using a hybrid fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method under uncertainty. Additionally, appropriate risk mitigation strategies for the top-ranked risks are presented, and potential relationships among them are addressed. Initially, potential risks in digital transformation were identified based on expert opinions. A fuzzy hierarchical and analytic network process was then applied to determine the importance of evaluation criteria and the final ranking of potential risks, respectively. Efficient risk mitigation strategies were proposed, and interrelationships among them were assessed using interpretive structural modeling and a matrices impacts croisés multiplication appliquée à un classement (MICMAC) analysis. The results indicate that information technology risk, supply chain management risk, and financial risks are the top three risks in the identified ranking. Furthermore, implementing an integrated data strategy and proposing comprehensive business agreements with supply chain players are considered the most impactful strategies for risks with top ranks.
Analyzing Customer Churn Behavior Using Datamining Approach: Hybrid Support Vector Machine and Logistic Regression in Retail Chain Mohammad Barzegar, Aliakbar Hasani International Journal of Research in Industrial Engineering, 2024 Customer churn is one of the challenges of business management in today's complex competitive environment. For this purpose, the organization must have an efficient system to detect and analyze the factors influencing customer churn. To conduct this research, an attempt has been made to build a hybrid model based on data mining approaches from information related to 5830 customers of a chain store (demographic information and information based on customer purchase records) with 17 qualitative and quantitative characteristics. The features of higher importance were identified to build the model in the first stage using the logistic regression algorithm. In the second stage, the support vector machine algorithm, a critical supervised learning algorithm, was used to classify the customers and rank the essential features. Finally, the proposed model has been implemented as a case study in the chain store industry. The results indicate the optimal efficiency of the proposed analysis method. This research has been done to identify the influential factors in customer churn and focus on providing new solutions to reduce churn in the retail industry. Also, the results show that age, marital status, and average monthly income from the set of demographic features and how to get to know the store, the share of online shopping, and special sales from the set of features related to customer transaction records are among the most important factors affecting customer churn. In addition, practical suggestions have been presented that can be used for tactical and strategic planning of chain stores to attract and retain customers.
System dynamics model for sports entrepreneurship ecosystem (case study: Iran) Nahid Darooghe Arefi, Hassan Bahrololoum, Reza Andam, Aliakbar Hasani Kybernetes, 2023 PurposeSustainable development of entrepreneurship could be comprehensively analyzed using a simulation model for entrepreneurship ecosystem based on the system dynamics approach. Thus, a complete analysis of the entrepreneurship ecosystem is of high importance. However, an effective analysis of entrepreneurship ecosystem involves many challenges, such as the presence of several factors which interact with each other in various ways with different complex effects in time. Therefore, the approach used in this study is employing analysis of entrepreneurship ecosystems in sports industry using analysis of dynamic systems.Design/methodology/approachSeveral applied issues such as entrepreneurship opportunities, infrastructures, market opportunities and entrepreneurship space in the borders of the dynamic model developed based on the literature and experts' opinion. Finally, a set of strategies based on experts' opinion are ranked with the objective of improvement of evaluation measures using network analysis decision-making approach and fuzzy TOPSIS.FindingsThe results obtained indicate the important role of sports entrepreneurship opportunities, sports tourism, market opportunities, entrepreneurship infrastructures and entrepreneurship-oriented environment in the development of sports entrepreneurship infrastructure in Iran. The credibility and efficiency of the proposed model for analysis of sports entrepreneurship have been ultimately shown.Originality/valueA holistic approach is proposed based on the hybrid system dynamics approach and fuzzy decision-making method to analyses sports entrepreneurship ecosystem.
