J. Prayoga, S.Kom., M.Kom., adalah seorang dosen tetap di Fakultas Teknik dan Ilmu Komputer, Universitas Dharmawangsa, Medan, yang telah mengajar sejak tahun 2016. Beliau memperoleh gelar Sarjana Komputer (S.Kom.) dari UPI YPTK Padang pada tahun 2013 dengan jurusan Sistem Informasi, dan melanjutkan pendidikan Magister (S2) di bidang Sistem Informasi dengan konsentrasi Sistem Informasi di universitas yang sama, yang diselesaikan pada tahun 2016. Saat ini, J. Prayoga sedang menempuh studi doktoral (S3) di Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh. Sebagai akademisi, J. Prayoga memiliki minat dan keahlian di bidang Data Mining dan Digital Marketing. Beliau telah terlibat aktif dalam berbagai penelitian dan publikasi akademis, serta berperan sebagai reviewer di beberapa jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Selain itu, beliau juga terlibat dalam kegiatan teknopreneurship dan kerap memberikan kuliah serta seminar terkait dengan inovasi teknologi dan kewirausahaan di berbagai perguruan tinggi. Pada tahun

  • Comparison of Efficientnet B3 and Inception V3 Architecture Performance in Heart Disease Arrhythmia Image Classification

    Early detection of cardiac arrhythmias is essential to prevent complications and improve patient outcomes. The ECG is a key diagnostic tool, but manual analysis requires expertise and is prone to error, necessitating automated classification. This study compares the performance of two deep learning models, Inception V3 and EfficientNet B3, for classifying arrhythmias using the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia Database, which contains 48 ECG recordings from 47 individuals aged 23–89. The ECG signals were denoised using a bandpass filter, features extracted with Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), and then transformed into vector images for input to the models. Results show that Inception V3 outperformed EfficientNet B3, achieving 99.28% accuracy, 99.72% precision, 98.89% sensitivity, and a 99.30% F1-score, compared to EfficientNet B3's 98.12% accuracy, 98.06% precision, 98.33% sensitivity, and 98.20% F1-score. These findings highlight Inception V3's superior performance and its strong potential in supporting automated ECG-based arrhythmia diagnosis in clinical settings.

    Atrial Fibrillation AF is one of the most common dysrhythmias. It affects almost all patients with symptoms of heart disease, with a percentage of around 1% to 2%, which increases with age and is more common in women. The need for the application of technology in medical devices, especially electrocardiograms (ECG), can slow down the treatment of patients, especially those with symptoms of heart disease. This research aims to apply deep learning in signal processing to analyze the performance of classification results. Therefore, signal processing methods such as extraction and classification can be used to determine a diagnosis by detecting heart rhythm abnormalities. This study will combine signal preprocessing methods with Bandpass Filter and Windowing, feature extraction using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), and classification with the DenseNet-121 CNN architecture to analyse the proposed method compared to the previous research. A bandpass filter removes noise at too large frequencies, and then DWT reconstructs the signal to obtain a pattern that stores signal information. Next, windowing is carried out to increase the data with various variations of patterns so that Densenet-121 will more easily study signal patterns and classify them into 2 classes, namely NORMAL and AF. The dataset used was from the MIT-BIH Atrial Fibrillation Database, with 17 ECG recordings for each patient. The performance produced in this research is an accuracy of 94.67%.
