A tubular solar still comprising 05 kg steel balls filled in the basin has shown a significant increase in distillation yield. Exergy efficiency solar distillate water by <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{4 4. 2 1 \%}$</tex> with the use of steel ball in MTSS, in Conventional solar still (CTSS) without steel ball, where exergy efficiency was 29.74%.

This study experimentally evaluates the thermal-hydraulic performance of a double-pipe heat exchanger (DPHE) equipped with novel wire coil (WC) inserts across a Reynolds number range of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$5500-15000$</tex>. Fifteen configurations were tested by varying pitch ratios (P/Dc <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$= 0.625-3.125$</tex>) and wire diameters (<tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$1-2 ~\text{mm}$</tex>). The results showed a maximum heat transfer enhancement of 126.7 % at P/Dc = 0.625 and <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathrm{d}=2 ~\text{mm}$</tex>, while friction increased by <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$2.67-4.71$</tex> times compared to plain tubes. Despite this, the TPF remained above unity for all cases, with the highest value of 1.35, confirming WC inserts as an effective enhancement technique. Additionally, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) were employed to optimize and validate the experimental outcomes.
