The heightened need for rapid and accurate parcel delivery has resulted in the extensive ‎implementation of automated technologies in logistics. This study assesses the operational ‎efficiency and scalability of high-speed cross-belt sorters in comparison to manual sorting ‎methods. This research analyses a case study from Bangalore, India, to evaluate the efficacy ‎of the ZedSORT system compared to manual methods on throughput, labour dependency, ‎cost-effectiveness, and scalability. Quantitative figures indicate a substantial augmentation ‎in daily capacity (from 20,000 to 160,000 parcels), reduced labour needs, and enhanced real-time tracking and interaction with warehouse management systems. This research, based on ‎the SCOR model and Industry 4.0 framework, provides practical insights and proposes a ‎paradigm for the implementation of scalable automation in logistics operations. The findings ‎enhance the discourse on the digital revolution of supply chains, offering lessons for both ‎practitioners and researchers‎.

  • Cerebroplacental ratio and cerebrouterine ratio as predictors of adverse neonatal outcomes in preeclamptic pregnant women
    R. P. Patange, Sanjay Kumar Patil, Supriya Patil, Kiran Kumar Thoti
Clinical and Comparative Research on Maternal Health, 2024
Preeclampsia is a hypertensive pregnancy illness linked to poor outcomes for the unborn child. While the “cerebrouterine ratio (CU)” is a new measure that represents both the uterine circulation of the mother and the cerebral circulation of the foetus, the “cerebroplacental ratio (CP)” is a well-established Doppler parameter for foetal assessment. The purpose of this research was to assess how well preeclamptic pregnancies' diagnostic features for CP and CU predicted unfavourable newborn outcomes. A prospective cohort research comprising 300 pregnant women at risk of preeclampsia. Doppler ultrasonography was used to calculate CP and CU. Preterm birth, IUGR, and perinatal mortality were examples of adverse neonatal outcomes. Diagnostic features were evaluated, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were produced. When the threshold was set at 0.85, CP showed excellent sensitivity and specificity, with an AUC of 0.82. CU demonstrated great specificity (91.3%) at the 0.80 threshold. Combining CP and CU improved risk categorization by offering a thorough evaluation of foetal well-being. CP and CU are useful instruments for evaluating risk in preeclampsia. With its high specificity, CU detects high-risk cases, whereas CP's sensitivity makes it a useful screening tool. Their complementary qualities improve risk assessment, supporting clinical judgment. More research is necessary to validate these results and determine the best cutoff values for various clinical settings. In preeclampsia, CP, and CU show promise as indicators of unfavourable neonatal outcomes. When used singly or in combination, they can enhance clinical management and risk assessment, which may improve outcomes for mothers and newborns in preeclamptic pregnancies.

    Advancements in Clinical Medicine, 2024
Postoperative sore throats, hoarse voice, and emergency coughing are complications that can cause discomfort and dissatisfaction for patients after endotracheal intubation. This study aimed to assess how well three intracuff treatments reduced these problems while maintaining safety. Three hundred adult patients receiving elective surgery under general anaesthesia participated in a randomised, double-blind clinical experiment. Random assignments were made to provide intracuff alkalinized lignocaine, lignocaine combined with ketamine, or lignocaine combined with dexamethasone to the participants. The incidence of emergent coughing, painful throat following surgery, and hoarseness of voice were measured as the initial outcomes as soon as the patient was extubated. Unfavorable incidents were also noted.
