Mindfulness and sustainable consumption research: A bibliometric analysis of scholarly articles and future directions James Kanda, Reena Rani, Parveen Singh Kalsi Sustainable Approaches in Spatial Design, 2025 This study intends to conduct a bibliometric analysis of mindfulness and sustainable consumption research by highlighting the most extensively researched areas and emerging topics, consequently addressing the gaps in the existing literature and presenting opportunities for future research. A total of 128 articles published between 2004 and January 2025 are extracted from the Scopus database and analyzed using R Studio's Biblioshiny. The research offers a novel approach with a complete bibliometric study, identifying the significant authors, nations, educational institutions, sources, keywords, and journals in mindfulness and sustainable consumption research. The findings reveal that research has proliferated in many countries but the USA remains the top country with the highest number of publications followed by Germany, India, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The study highlights the need for further empirical research to explore the relationship between mindfulness and sustainable consumption in diverse geographical and socio-economic settings to support global sustainability.
Mindfulness and Organizational Well-Being: A Comprehensive Analysis of Global Research Trends James Kanda, Parveen Singh Kalsi, Reena Rani Harnessing Happiness and Wisdom for Organizational Well Being, 2025 This chapter offers a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of global research trends on mindfulness and organizational well-being from 2009 to 2024, using 114 articles extracted from the Scopus database. The study aims to map the growth, development, and impact of academic literature in this area, recognizing key research trends, influential publications, and future research directions. The analysis shows that research has proliferated worldwide, with the USA as a major contributor in this field followed by Australia, Germany, Spain, and India. The most trending topics include mindfulness, human factors, and occupational health in the workplace. The study emphasizes the need for future research to explore mindfulness interventions in diverse organizational contexts and investigate the long-term impacts on well-being to guide the development and implementation of organizational well-being programs.
A systematic review of literature on the use of artificial intelligence for sustainable tourism Reena Rani, James Kanda Technological and Managerial Approaches to Fostering Sustainable Travel, 2024 The study identifies potential topics and sub-topics in sustainable tourism. The main goal of the study is to review the research regarding the role of AI in the field of sustainable tourism with the help of bibliometric analysis. For the study, a bibliometric approach has been adopted from 2009 to 2024. The authors used Biblioshiny through R studio on 389 documents extracted from Scopus. The descriptive research approach was employed in the study, which was based on document analysis, authors analysis, source analysis, and keyword analysis from the prior studies, and the dimension database was used to collect data for the study. The search queries include all the article's terms “Artificial Intelligence”, “Sustainability”, “Chatbot”, “Sustainable Consumption”, “Tourism” and “Hospitality Industry” in the title. A bibliometric analysis reveals that the related research has exploded in economies like China, the United Kingdom, the USA, and India. The United Kingdom stands out as one of the most cited countries among all.
A study on chatbots in the Indian banking sector Reena Rani, James Kanda, Chanchal Chanchal, Taranjit Singh Vij Contemporary Studies of Risks in Emerging Technology Part A, 2023 Abstract Purpose: This chapter discusses the role and use of chatbots adopted by the different categories of banks (private and public sector banks) in India. The chapter presents brief essential services offered by Indian chatbots regarding accuracy, technology providers and virtual assistance, ways to connect, etc. This chapter concluded that most of the questions answered by the Indian chatbots are already available on the banks’ websites, and there is a need for enhancement in the capabilities of Indian chatbots. Need for the Study: The need for the study is based on the working of banking chatbots, customer query handling, and the efficiency of the chatbots in India. The chapter helps to analyze the services offered by various banks. Methodology: This chapter is based on secondary data collected from banks’ websites and articles from various journals. The study is based on nine banks (both private and public sectors) those are having working chatbots (SBI, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda). The present study is focused on chatbots, their services, and software applications for various customer-handling capacities. Findings: The research concluded that Indian banks are investing a small amount in using chatbots, yet Indian chatbots are deficient regarding far too provincial administrations as they are adequate just for standard and basic inquiries. Also, Indian customers are not properly aware of chatbots and virtual assistance. Practical Implications: This study provides an overview of the working chatbots in India (for both public and private sector banks) and their functions, as well as the capacities of these chatbots. The previous conducted studies are based on the uses, importance, and working of chatbots/artificial intelligence (AI) in banking. In this study, after discussing the different services, it is found that Indian banks need to update their AI/Virtual assistance with more features.
Location-based green banking initiatives: A review in HDFC and ICICI Banks of India Reena Rani, Kirti Sharma, James Kanda, Chanchal Wadhawan, Amandeep Singh Enhancing Customer Engagement Through Location Based Marketing, 2023 The present world is without a doubt known for globalization and industrialization, yet human life is at this point encountering circumstances given standard to shame. Currently, the chief concern of businesses, corporate companies, and individuals is the security of the standard resources, which are depleting daily. Climate supportability can be kept up with and advanced by the monetary areas. Indian monetary area is firmly founded on the Indian financial area, and the Indian financial area currently has given significance to the idea of green banking. Alongside banks, different areas like stock financier organizations, credit card organizations, and money organizations are additionally following the green business idea, which has acquired ubiquity among other administrative specialists, NGOs, social orders, and clients. This chapter investigates the idea of green banking, its advantages, and its advancement in India. Two banks (private and public) are chosen for their drives taken toward green banking. Both essential and optional information have been utilized in the review.
