Improving IIoT Applications Through Process Control Using Convolutional Neural Networks: Smart Factory Technology Incorporating Deep Learning Kalimuddin Mondal, Raachapalli Sunitha, Mohyedin Hamza, Gaurav Sethi, M. Uma Maheswari, Anni Princy B 2026 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Medical Sciences Icetems 2025, 2026 Enhancing IIoT-based applications using advanced ML methods is increasingly important in order to meet smart factory objectives in the context of Industry 4. In particular, we investigate the embedding of CNNs in control-oriented paradigms in IIoT systems with a fundamental interest to improve performances of real-time control decisions, abnormal situations identification and optimal operation. Legacy process control systems are frequently poorly equipped to cope with the huge volumes of data emerging from contemporary IIoT systems, resulting in slowed systems, unplanned downtime and degradation of predictive capabilities. Inclusion of CNNs—popular for feature extraction and pattern recognition—has exemplified that deep learning models can be trained to 'understand' multivariate sensor data, predict deviations and adjust control parameters automatically with limited human interference. The approach consists in developing a hybrid IIoT architecture with embedded CNN models at the network edge to carry out low latency data processing and local decision making. Real-time datasets, collected from simulated and actual smart factory factories, are provided so that the CNN models can be trained and tested for different control tasks such as temperature, vibration and pressure monitoring in industrial machines. The experimental results demonstrate that the CNN-augmented process control system outperforms the conventional PID based strategies and other machine learning techniques in response time, accuracy, fault detection rate, and resource usage. Experiments report that the proposed CNN-based methods achieve the state-of-the-art detection sensitivity and the action of mistake compensation based on them could reduce the maintenance cost down to only 4% of what can be, with 1.15 times higher product output and consuming 27.5% less energy consumption. Moreover, the scalability and versatility of CNNs applied to various sensor data types, such scalable, flexible network structures are particularly appropriate for dynamic industrial environments with a changing system structure. This study confirms the revolutionary significance of deep learning models in the automation and optimization of industrial control systems to revolutionize manufacturing for a smarter and autonomous, as well as self-mending, IIoT era.
Silicon Microring Resonator-Based All-Optical Reversible 2 : 1 Multiplexer: Numerical Analysis Sankarapuram Siva Saravana Kumar, Jakusani Shirisha, Sultan Mahaboob Basha, Kalimuddin Mondal, Vankadari Nagaraju, Alagar Raja, Manjur Hossain Optical Memory and Neural Networks Information Optics, 2025 Abstract Future computing systems will likely require reversible logic gates since, in the best of circumstances; they are known to provide zero power dissipation. Reversible logic gates also have the advantage of minimizing quantum costs and unused outputs. In this work, reversible 2 : 1 multiplexer has been implemented using all-optical microring resonator. Reversible multiplexer is simulated in MATLAB at 260 Gbps. Some performance indicating factors such as “extinction ratio”, “contrast ratio”, “relative eye opening”, etc are analyzed and developed. The chosen optimal parameters can be validated practically.
Integrating NLP for Intelligent Cybersecurity Risk Detection from Bulletins Kalimuddin Mondal, U. Samson Ebenezar, L. Karthikeyan, P Gururama Senthilvel, B S Preetham Proceedings of 2025 International Conference on Computing for Sustainability and Intelligent Future Comp Sif 2025, 2025 The rate of developed threats increases and poses challenges when it comes to the recognition of the risks and measures to be taken. Current cybersecurity risk assessment is mainly done using word-of-mouth through reviewed security announcements, vulnerable product or service reports, and threat intelligence data feeds, all of which are time-consuming and often contain human errors. The use of Natural Language Processing (NLP) in cybersecurity brings the efficiency of automation where text information is analyzed with the aim of identifying and categorizing threats in real time. In this paper, NLP techniques including Named Entity Recognition (NER), sentiment analysis and topic modelling are used to analyze the security bulletins and determine the security threats. Supervised, semi-supervised, and unsupervised learning methods of the NLP system can bene fit to mine adequate security-related text data, identify suitable patterns and or make forecasts of susceptible vulnerabilities. The proposed framework is primarily a framework to improve threat intelligence through vulnerability, attack vectors, and related systems connection. In addition, NLP-based risk identification also has several advantages: it increases the accuracy of risk identification and decreases the time for risk detection, as well as strengthens cybersecurity infrastructure. The paper demonstrates that by applying the technique of IBM security bulletins, organizations can reduce the risks and improve the controls effectively. The paper concludes with areas of future work in enhancing the application of NLP techniques in cybersecurity with an agreement on the idea of adaptive models that reflects the dynamic and ever-changing nature and trends of cyber threats.
Performance Analysis of Resonant DC/AC Converters for Induction Heating Applications S. Jaanaa Rubavathy, K. Sasikala, Prema Kandasamy, Kalimuddin Mondal, S H. Krishna Veni, S. Gomathi 2025 8th International Conference on Circuit Power and Computing Technologies Iccpct 2025, 2025 The research examines resonant inverters along with their power enhancement capabilities for applications in induction heating. The DC power source’s power consumption relies on the resonant capacitor size along with operating frequency and DC supply voltage rather than load amount or changes. Power circuit explanations have been used to create power comparisons that illustrate the properties of the Full bridge and Half Bridge LCL resonant converters. MATLAB is used to simulate both LCL converters, and the results are compared. Applications requiring high voltage, such as induction heating, are appropriate for HB LCL Performance.
Performance Analysis of a Rooftop PV System with Ground Mounted PV System S. Jaanaa Rubavathy, S. Manoj, Mahaboob Basha, Prema Kandasamy, D. Kalimuddin Mondal, R. Manimegalai Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Inventive Systems and Control Icisc 2025, 2025 The present research focuses on a potentialway to replace energy sources based on fossil fuels with long-term solar energy sources. For the purposes of simulation, PvSyst software is employed. This compares as well as limits the temperature loss of Rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems and Ground-mounted PV systems. Further- more, the obtained results are analyzed. Simulation is done with Pvsyst software for Rooftop and Ground mounted system, and the results were compared by considering temperature constraints. Energy produced in each case is measured and tabulated which results that rooftop gives better performance than ground mounted PV system. The primary objective is to compare the performance of rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems in terms of temperature losses and energy output using PvSyst simulations. It will also emphasize the goal of identifying the more efficient configuration for deployment in hot urban regions.
