INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
Dr. Kaan Bilge has extensive industry experience translating materials and fracture-mechanics insight into real engineering deliverables across aerospace/space and large-scale composite structures. He served as R&D Leader at DeltaV Space Technologies (2018–2021), leading materials and structural development activities including polymer/composite material selection, laminate architecture decisions, verification testing, and failure-analysis-driven iteration for high-performance components. His work supported critical composite hardware development, including Type-V pressure vessel concepts (~350 bar class) and associated composite structures, alongside broader materials and process development efforts.
In parallel, he has built an industry-facing track record through pOrOus Intelligent Material Analytics (Founder, 2021–present), delivering failure analysis, materials selection, modelling/simulation support, and verification workflows for industrial partners. Representative engagements include work with BaX Composites A.Ş. (engineering support for reuse of recycled carbon-fiber products), DeltaV Space Technologies A.Ş. (testing and failure analysis support for composite pressure-vessel development), Matesis A.Ş. (modelling and failure analysis of large composite hatch covers for cargo ships), and Skipteknisk A.Ş. (ANSYS ACP–supported composite structural assessments and fracture/safety-factor evaluations for large marine structures involving steel/CFRP joint systems).
