Sanjana Devi VS, Balraj B, Amuthameena S, Joby Titus T
    IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology, 2025
This study investigates the enhancement of hydrogen (H2) gas sensing in nitrogen-doped Zinc Oxide (ZnO) nanomaterials through the decoration of gold (Au) nanoparticles. ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized via a wet chemical method, doped with nitrogen at 0.5%, 1.0%, and 1.5% concentrations, and decorated with Au nanoparticles. Characterization using X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed that the ZnO structure remained intact, with the addition of a peak corresponding to Au at 38.19°. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) confirmed the uniform distribution of spherical Au nanoparticles on the ZnO surfaces. UV-Vis spectroscopy showed an enhanced absorption peak at 532 nm due to surface plasmon resonance. Photoluminescence (PL) spectra indicated reduced emission intensity, suggesting effective charge transfer between ZnO and Au. Gas sensing tests revealed that Au-decorated 1.0 wt. % N exhibited a maximum H2 gas response of 89% at 200 °C, significantly higher than the 46% response of non-decorated 1.0 wt. % N. Additionally, the Au-decorated N sensors demonstrated a rapid response time of 10 sec and a recovery time of 15 sec. These results highlight the potential of Au-decorated N-doped nanomaterials as highly efficient H2 gas sensors, combining enhanced sensitivity with fast response kinetics.

2024 International Conference on System Computation Automation and Networking Icscan 2024, 2024
The advent of fifth-generation (5G) communication technologies is set to transform the global Internet of Everything (IoE) by linking numerous physical devices to the Internet. This extensive connectivity plays a vital role in IoT applications such as smart homes, city management, transportation, surveillance and the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). Although wireless communication seeks to achieve broader coverage, lower latency, higher throughput, and increased reliability, challenges remain in optimizing limited communication resources and enhancing coding, modulation, and channel estimation methods. Managing transmission power is essential for mitigating interference and conserving energy. Our study introduces a fuzzy logic optimization routing (FLOR) method designed to extend the lifespan of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) by making routing decisions based on nodes' energy levels and network distances. We evaluate FLOR's performance against current methods, showing the significant improvements in throughput, packet delivery ratio, average end-to-end delay and normalized routing overhead. In addition a deep learning-based strategy is proposed for sub-band assignment and power control in IoT cellular networks. Utilizing the convolutional neural networks (CNNs), we enhance the resource allocation, decrease latency, and improve energy efficiency. Our results demonstrate that deep learning methods outperform traditional techniques, offering faster speeds, reduced latency, and better energy efficiency. The integration of deep learning with edge computing and network slicing further benefits various IoT applications, boosting network performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.

With increasing advancements in the field of telecommunication, the attainment of a higher data transfer rate is essentially a greater need to meet high-performance communication. The exploitation of the fuzzy system in the wireless telecommunication systems, especially in Fifth Generation Mobile Networks (or) 5G networks is a vital paradigm in telecommunication markets. A comprehensive survey is dealt in the paper, where it initially reviews the basic understanding of fuzzy systems over 5G telecommunication. The literature studies are collected from various repositories that include reference materials, Internet, and other books. The collection of articles is based on empirical or evidence-based from various peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, dissertations, and theses. Most of the existing soft computing models are streamlined to certain applications of 5G networking. Firstly, it is hence essential to provide the readers to find research gaps and new innovative models on wide varied applications of 5G. Secondly, it deals with the scenarios in which the fuzzy systems are developed under the 5G platform. Thirdly, it discusses the applicability of fuzzy logic systems on various 5G telecommunication applications. Finally, the paper derives the conclusions associated with various studies on the fuzzy systems that have been utilized for the improvement of 5G telecommunication systems.

Proceedings 5th International Conference on Computing Methodologies and Communication Iccmc 2021, 2021
This artile proposes a way for smart control of fireside spreading within the warehouses. Warehouse assets include a huge array of amenities intended for the storage of varied commodities. The warehouses may vary counting on the sort of materials stored. The extent of automation in the warehouse depends on the storage capacity, and the retrieval mechanism. Therefore, the height of stacking commodities is the prevailing fire safety system to predict on the structure of building and the space for storage. The factors considered for implementing fire protection in warehouse design are building area, height, the storage methods, and therefore the commodity also as local rules and regulations. It is not an easy task to propose a fireplace protection design for the warehouses with such variations. To incorporate of these factors, a PLC based water curtain nozzle control is proposed to avoid the fast-spreading of fireside in warehouses.

Proceedings 5th International Conference on Computing Methodologies and Communication Iccmc 2021, 2021
Talking loudly is an infuriating habit in an office environment as well as in industry the machine noise is quiet annoying. The office environment with loud co-workers can distract the work and reduce the work efficiency. The machine noise in an industry environment above 85dBA affects the hearing capacity. To help and solve this issue, a noise detector with instinctive recording device is proposed. This device informs the user about the noise level and whenever the noise level exceeds the limit, it automatically records the sound and its duration. This system finds wide advantage for labors in industry, which provides frequent warning information to the user if the noise limit exceeds.
  • Code controller embedded with 2-d plotter for garment embroidery machine
    K. Gayathri, B. Nagapriya, T.Joby Titus
Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Electrical Energy Systems Icees 2021, 2021
The common problem with the existing embroidery machine is to identify the pattern of embroidery for the garment and to stitch using manpower. The large demand for embroidery layout in garment industry is not accomplished using manual stitching methods. Our proposed model proposes a smart embroidery machine which includes a G-Code controller for pattern generation and the pattern conversion to angular movements in motor is achieved by Arduino UNO microcontroller. A two dimensional adjustment in X-Y direction is utilized for needle movement and garment layer is obtained with respect to G-Code. The compact design provides flexibility for embroider to access large production of design patterns with reduced time and manpower.
  • BER ANALYSIS of CHANNEL CODING TECHNIQUES for 5G NETWORKS

Iop Conference Series Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
All Achieving error free communication is the major challenge in wireless technology because it provides the basement for reliable communication. But, practically error free communication is not possible due to impairments caused in wireless channel. The practical option that is available for reliable communication with minimized error rate is a channel coding technique. The various channel encoding techniques used are RS, convolutional codes, turbo codes etc., in various generations of wireless communication. The advanced version of 5G technologies needs a new type of channel coding technique that focuses on low complexity and minimized bit error rate. In this system candidate error correction coding schemes that can be used for 5G technology is reviewed in terms of bit error rate and complexity. This proposed system mainly focuses on two channel coding techniques namely convolutional codes and LDPC codes. The LDPC codes are currently used in 4G technologies and its feasibility with 5G wireless communication is evaluated in terms of BER performance and complexity and it is compared with the coded and uncoded convolutional codes. The results show that LDPC codes outperform the other coded system in terms of BER and complexity, also channel capacity of the MIMO-OFDM system is achieved nearer to the Shannon limit by using LDPC codes. According to the conducted studies, it is evident that the LDPC codes are excellent in having improved BER performance such that it could be used for next generation wireless communication.
